Splurged on an upgraded room with a jacuzzi tub. Well it didn’t work and we were only staying two nights. Tub night was planned on night one, concert the next. Needless to say tub night didn’t go as planned. The tv is from the past. You can’t connect a firestick to it like you can at other hotels. You’re stuck scrolling the guide channel to find something to watch from the 50ish basic cable channels provided. The carpet stains in the room were next level. They spanned the colors of the rainbow and even had some hard, crusty edges to them. It was interesting. They did provide slippers to wear in the room. This must be why. We had an amazing experience with a couples massage. The 90 minutes flew by and we felt brand new once when they finished. If you want to stay in a classic, New Orleans hotel then this is it. The hotel is beautiful. The location couldn’t be better. The staff were so friendly. However, when you’re traveling somewhere new, the room where you rest your head after a busy day is the most important part. And the guest room we were given wasn’t worth the $500 a night we paid.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Monteleone , it was an amazing experience beyond our expectations, especially for our first time in New Orleans. The overall atmosphere was wonderful, and the staff made a real difference. The door staff were always positive, friendly, and welcoming, and the front office team was consistently helpful and professional. The rooms and housekeeping team truly deserve recognition, especially for the turndown service and the attention to detail when tidying up the bathroom it’s the small touches that really make the difference. Special thanks to Emirhan Yılmaz and his team for their outstanding hospitality and support throughout our stay. We had a fantastic stay and would absolutely recommend Hotel Monteleone to anyone visiting New Orleans. We would love to return

My daughter chose Hotel Monteleone for her wedding guests and reserved a block of approximately 25 rooms, drawn by the hotel’s history, elegance, and reputation. Unfortunately, the experience was problematic from the moment we arrived and caused significant stress during what should have been a joyful weekend. As we pulled up to the hotel with our truck and trailer, a bellman yelled at us in the crowded street while we were trying to inquire where we could unload our wedding luggage and attire. The confrontation was unnecessary and embarrassing, especially since we were not parking there. He eventually provided unloading instructions calmly—something that could have been done from the start. We also experienced poor handling of a flower delivery, which had been coordinated with one of their managers via email Instead of our fresh flowers, staff initially delivered wilted poinsettias left over from the holidays. It took nearly three hours and multiple inquiries before our clearly labeled flower boxes were finally located in the coolers, exactly where we had said they would be. Bar service was another disappointment. Our waitress was rude, would not accommodate multiple payments, and showed no interest in being helpful. A mandatory 20% gratuity was included despite the poor service. The most serious issue was the lack of water on both Saturday and Sunday of the wedding weekend. This was a major problem for the bride and guests. Some were forced to change rooms, others took cold showers. The hotel did not proactively assist guests or offer compensation—each person had to complain individually. Refunds were inconsistent, did not match what was promised, and took weeks of follow-up. Given the number of rooms booked, the bride should have been fully compensated. While the managers we worked with prior to arrival were generally professional—and we had positive interactions with the bar and conference managers—the on-site staff was largely rude, inattentive, and unwilling to help. For an expensive, supposedly luxury hotel, this level of service is unacceptable. Do not waste your money here. There are many better hotels in New Orleans that treat their guests with respect and genuine hospitality.

Stayed here multiple times and never disappointed. Location is ideal. Rooms are good size and well decorated. Staff is friendly and helpful. This is my first choice when visiting NOLA.
