Hotel Monteleone

This was my family's 2nd time ever in New Orleans and also our second time staying at the wonderful Hotel Monteleone. When I booked a standard double-bed room for my family, I mentioned that we were celebrating my 41st birthday. Upon checking in, I was handed an envelope with 2 complimentary drink vouchers for the Carousel Bar and told our room was on the 16th floor. My family and I headed upstairs expecting the room I had reserved. To our surprise, we discovered we had been upgraded to a beautiful balcony suite near the rooftop pool. It was one of the coolest hotel rooms I've ever stayed in, and my family was absolutely thrilled. What Hotel Monteleone didn't know was that this trip came at a time when our family truly needed a lift. We had just gone through a difficult and emotional transition, and this unexpected act of kindness arrived at exactly the right moment. After driving 34hs in 3days, the upgrade and thoughtful gesture turned a simple getaway into something unforgettable. The hotel is beautiful, historic, and perfectly located, but what stood out most was the hospitality. The staff made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. Thank you, Hotel Monteleone, for creating such a special memory for my family. We will never forget it.

The valet service is shady …….. we had a brand new luxury suv that we drove to NOLA (road trip ) packed with items which we left in the vehicle for our next adventure which was a beachfront condo for 5 days. I specifically asked if the items in the SUV would be safe and locked up. I was told. “ yes, everything is secure.. don’t worry.” I could see on my app that my vehicle was left unlocked the whole 2 1/2 days while we stayed. I asked doorman who took our keys about the vehicle being unlocked and again I was told they have great security. No worries. My vehicle app showed my SUV was moved 4 different times while we stayed at the hotel. We never took it out while we were staying at the hotel so obviously someone else moved it several times for whatever reason !! After we checked out and valet brought us our vehicle . We stopped outside of the city for gas and upon getting gas and washing the windshield my husband noticed scratches in the hood of our brand new black SUV, intentional scratches!! I notified the management and I was told they’d , “look into it.” I received an email a couple days later and they totally dismissed it and refused to take any responsibility for the scratches or even acknowledge the movement of my vehicle as it was kept in valet . Moral of the story do not valet and if you must do not keep anything in the vehicle and hopefully it’s not a vehicle that you care about … probably best to ride-share or use a rental vehicle. WOW! JUST WOW! I have stayed in numerous wonderful hotels worldwide but this one is absolutely one of the best. The staff is what makes it! In every department I interacted with the staff was trained, detailed and friendly. A special shout out to housekeeping. They did so many extra touches that I felt like I had a private butler. A special shout out to Silvina P! She noticed every small detail and fixed all of them. She completely went above and beyond anything I've experienced. If you want to stay in the French Quarter, this is where you need to stay! Perfect in every aspect!

We stayed in the Iberville Tower suite with two double beds. The suite was pristine, very large, and with impeccable housekeeping, who make sure we had a wonderful experience. The lobby staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. In particular, Earl Jenkins, who works in parking, went above and beyond expectations making our car readily available. I strongly recommend this hotel, which is extremely convenient to all major New Orleans attractions.

We have stayed at the Hotel Monteleone several times and have enjoyed our stay. Hotel is very clean and staff are very friendly. We plan to return.
