You’re probably visiting for the history so why not choose a historic hotel? Location is a short walk to parade routes, street cars and shops. Rooms are on the small side, bed comfortable and they are generous with the pillows.

Very expensive hotel. Great location. Small room. Didn't have any umbrellas to loan and not even a free Newspaper and charged $600 for one night. Bar was crowded with people walking in off the street.

We stayed at the Monteleone for a long weekend during Mardi Gras. The location of the Hotel made everything easily accessible for us. The room was extremely quite and well appointed. The staff was extremely helpful throughout our stay.

We have stayed here several times and it always been a good experience. The hotel is very well located in the French Quarter. Staff is helpful. You really have to try the bar. If you can ask for a high floor for view. The evening dinner is OK, but you cam do better in the Quarter. Breakfast is good.

Love this Hotel but this trip nothing but problems: 1. Valet was charged for 2 vehicles; 2. Rooms reserved together were separated; 3. Security woke us 3 times with claims a women was being hurt ( we are only 2 married men - no women); complaint was from 4 Hookers reserving room next door. They came home every morning 6:00 am yelling screaming. They looked at you and made comments in the hallway like call Security, Security, Its Security. We complained to Hotel Manager and nothing so far. Security claims it was young girls just playing. We were awakened by Security knocking on door 3 different times in same morning (I am naked but in a bedspread and my spouse is in bed) - those young girls should have been removed. 4. You had to call housekeeping to come
