Our stay at this lovely historic hotel was most comfortable. The staff were all professional, friendly and helpful. The hotel is one of three in the nation named as literary landmarks, Tennesse Williams, Rebecca Wells and Ernest Hemingway among others stayed at the HM as well as featuring it in their works. Several movies have been made there, the best known Double Jeopardy. The beautiful Carousel Bar and Piano Lounge sits in the lobby, the drinks are mixed perfectly by top notch bartenders. The HM has a very nice rooftop pool and bar. We walked all over the French Quarter from the hotel and our location was perfect. We would highly recommend the Hotel Monteleone for anyone wanting deluxe accommodations in the French Quarter.

The hotel is so convenient to the French quarter, trolley and other points of interest outside of the French quarter. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was a little small and tight to get around. The room was very clean. I like thicker pillows.

Beautiful old hotel with plenty of amenities. Wonderful, friendly staff. On site restaurant is pricey, but there are plenty of alternatives within easy walking distance. Rooms are kind of small because of the modern furniture/technology that has been added.

Hotel is well located and convenient to many sites. Beds are comfortable and there is ample room to work. One big problem for me is that they only offered heavily scented toiletries and claimed they never heard of offering guests the option for unscented products and that it was not possible. To me this shows a hotel that does not care about its customers. Hotel also did not offer bottled water for most of my stay. the last days they brought in water. Breakfast was not included but there are places nearby.

We LOVE this hotel. The lobby is beautifully designed and decorated with stunning chandeliers. The end of Royal Street is a perfect location. In the middle of it all but quiet and elegant. The Carousel Bar is very popular so keeps the lobby lively, but in a fun way! Restaurants are immediately nearby like Brennan's, Kingfish, and the famous Beignet Cafe. Shopping and street performers are the best on Royal Street as well. The rooftop pool and bar are super fun and a nice way to spend a warm afternoon. The rooms were quiet, clean and beautifully decorated and housekeeping was excellent but unobtrusive. Well worth the price!
