This hotel has so much history it's amazing. Although the rooms are on the smaller side, they are comfy and plush. The matresses are super comfy and the housekeeping staff are super attentive. I would say that if you are not in the party mood, I would avoid hanging out in the lobby as the Carousel Bar can get pretty loud and rowdy. The rooftop pool and deck is one of the best in the area and is not to missed. You can't ask for a more central location than this place!

We stayed for 2 days. What an amazing hotel with world class service. Upon checking in we were greeted with a smile and one of the managers (Kelly Childress) introduced herself and gave me her card. We had 2 adjoining rooms and they were excellent. The pool is the best in the quarter in my opinion. I have been to the French Quarter 20+ times and this is the only place to stay.

This property charming and romantic in every way. The decor is beautiful and the rooms, while small, are very well appointed. The hotel bar and restaurant are crowded and noisy, like previous reviews have mentioned, but they are worth the wait for a seat. I was there for pleasure while my other half was working at a conference for a few days. I had some downtime during the day and went to the rooftop pool which was perfect. Not crowded at all. The temperature was warm and the water was extremely clean. I also walked Bourbon Street and Jackson Square. I was cautious but didn't feel unsafe. I also made sure not to carry a purse, but rather had a small wallet, with minimal cash, in my pocket and my phone; that was it. The hotel staff is amazing. The front desk staff, concierge and door men are all courteous and helpful. BLAIR is amazing man with a huge heart and a wealth of great suggestions...ask him anything and he will be there with a great recommendation...oh and make sure you tell him that "Brooklyn" sent you! The sound of a random saxophone at 3am from the streets below only adds to the charm of this hotel's location. Lunch/Dinner Recommendation: if you desire to be away from the noise, the restaurant directly across the street (Mr. B's) is quiet and the food is so amazing that we ate dinner there 2 nights in a row! P.S. The temperature of the hot water in the room is H O T! Use caution when showering.

I was thoroughly impressed with my stay. Unfortunately it was a quick trip for business, but I will be back to stay in this beautiful hotel. Service, accommodations, and general ambiance were all top-notch. Highly recommended!

First time in New Orleans! I came down for a HR conference and decided to stay a couple extra days for fun! This hotel was perfect for a first time stay in NOLA! Hotel was very clean which is a big deal for me; staff was friendly - loved how the main doors were always being opened for me; and the hotel is perfectly placed right in the heart of all things NOLA! I missed out on the pool, but did check it out - amazing and wish the weather was better so I could have used it! I would absolutely stay at the hotel again should my travels bring me back!!
