Stayed here for a girls weekend. Overall loved the hotel, but note that the rooms with two beds are Full and not Queen so you better like your bed mate. :) Awesome location right near Bourbon in the heart of the French Quarter. Carousel Bar is always bumping and a great place to take in live music. Pool is on the roof and while small, 4 of us could always get a seat. Squire the bartender totally took care of us every day- he was a definite highlight. I know some comment on the small size of the bathroom, but there were mirrors everywhere (awesome water pressure in the shower!). No problem with 4 girls getting ready every evening. No fans in the bathroom though so it gets hot fast!

On a recent visit to New Orleans I stayed at The Hotel Monteleone. It is a lovely elegant older hotel with all the modern conveniences. Our every need was met. I particularly loved the central location and the staff’s helpfulness. The Carousel Bar is a draw and everyone wants to see it. The bartenders are top drawer as are the drinks. Be sure and have a Scazarac while you’re there. At 11:00 am there was a line to get in, but we usually stopped by 2-3pm and always got a seat. At night it’s a hopping place. Overall, I found it lovely place to stay.

We had never stayed here before and it was a very nice hotel and great location. Only thing is that the bathroom is very tight and also the regular guest room is pretty tight and not too spacious for the price. Overall it was a very nice hotel though.

This Hotel was marvelous, from the moment of reception to the moment of departure. The staff was exceptionally warm and welcoming. Very complimentary and assisted when and where needed. It was a grand experience. Upon arrival the room was not large enough, but the staff was more than accommodating. The location was great, near every corner, French quarter, Bourbon Street and even Canal. I really had a great time. The rooms were very personal, you could set the air condition on as cold as you like. I would highly recommend this place proudly. The rooms were exceptionally clean even down to the window ledge. I was admired how clean everything was. The building was old but very fashionable and beautiful. The only thing, I feel is that the water in room should have been complimentary for the price paid per room. Other than that everything was super!!

Carousel bar is a must visit on Nola . Hotel monteleone is a classic old hotel and even though the French quarter has become really gross the last 5 years or so the hotel and bar are still great. Convienant location, one block from bourbon st two blocks from the Mississippi River.
