Ideally situated in the heart of New Orleans' riverfront, just steps away from the famed French Quarter, the Loews New Orleans never lets you forget you're in the Big Easy. The city's latest luxury hotel brilliantly showcases colorful interior design elements derived from a mixture of Creole, West Indies and Colonial French influences. In an elegant, oversized guestroom or suite, offering parlor-style seating and panoramic views of the Mississippi River or the city skyline, you'll be graciously received in a contemporary and relaxing atmosphere.

This was perfect for Jazz Fest. We used the VIP bus, which picks up one block from this hotel, so it was extremely conventient. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Service was friently. I had a nice view of the river. And the elevators were able to handle the traffic

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with Loews Hotels was extremely disappointing. When I booked, the pricing seemed reasonable—but once I arrived, I was hit with multiple hidden fees that were never clearly disclosed upfront. That alone left a bad impression, and it only got worse from there. For a hotel that markets itself as “luxury,” the room fell far short of expectations. It felt average at best, definitely not worth the total price after all the added charges. This place is seriously overrated for what you actually get. The only positive I can point to is the location—it was convenient and accessible. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. After 29 years of traveling, I can confidently say this was one of the more frustrating hotel experiences I’ve had, especially being charged for things that were not made clear at the time of booking. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere before choosing this hotel.

If you want a New Orleans hotel stay with luxury and an amazing view of the Mississippi River, Loews New Orleans Hotel is the place to be. I stayed at Loews for a night while visiting Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama. What a decadent treat! My room on the 20th floor had a picture-perfect view of the city and the Mississippi River. The Crescent City Connection Bridge was lit up at night. The color of the lights are changed nightly, and the night that I was there, the bridge glowed purple. The bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable. The bathroom had a huge walk-in shower and an oversized tub. Heaven. The air conditioner worked great and kept the room nice and cool. The hotel amenities were fabulous: a state of the art gym, an indoor lap pool, a hot tub, and a sauna. It was like a Roman bath. Valet service is a little pricey, but well worth it. A big shout out to Lan, the valet attendant. Really nice man! Loews New Orleans is a special place to stay. As soon as you walk in to their sumptuous gold and brown lobby, the Big Easy vibe opens its soulful arms to you.

The hotel was great. Our room was really big with views of the Mississippi. I was staying with tweens, and the location is great. I’ve stayed nearby at Windsor Court before and have decided this area hits the sweet spot; it’s walkable to the quarter but not too in the thick of it with tweens. LAN the Man at valet was great and oozed NOLA charm. The front desk lady (i cannot remember her name, but she is studying hospitality at UNO) was exceptional (and I’ve stayed at lots of hotels. I have kids who like to swim and was nervous about the pool being to “business” for them. But the pool was great and included a great gym, sauna and hot tub. It isn’t outdoor, and there is no “scene” if a cocktail by the pool is important.

This hotel is rundown, and in desperate need of a renovation. Stayed for two nights. Wi-Fi was horrible. The second morning I received two wake up calls at 6:20 even though I never asked for them. When we arrived in our car, we were met by the valet. I asked if there was self parking somewhere because the overnight valet parking is $52. He told me that there was a garage, but it had nothing to do with the hotel so if anything happened to the car, it would be my problem. Subtle way of telling me that I should be scared and park at the hotel. The location is good right across the street from Caesars. But that’s about it.
