I took my sister, daughter and niece to New Orleans to celebrate a 13th birthday. The room was good for the 4 of us and the staff was friendly. However, my sister and I decided to have a cocktail Sunday night 6/29 at the bar after dinner and there were multiple mice running around the floor of the bar. Multiple patrons were aware of the mice as well as the staff. The manager comped our 2 drinks and assured us the engineer was going to handle it. However, the engineer just stood there and told us he didn’t know what he could really do and left. There was definitely ore than one mouse. The bar serves food and drink and I am concerned about the cleanliness and safety for the guests of the hotel. I have stayed at the property on another occasion and did not have any issues. However, after the incident with mice, I will no longer stay at this hotel.

Just got back from a week at the Ritz, and you just cannot go wrong with this hotel. It’s my second visit to them. Big comfy rooms, clean, nice staff, quiet, great amenities like free jazz in the restaurant, tasty food, I could go on. Oh…the location is great, just a block from Bourbon St. it’s my recommendation for a stay in the Big Easy.

My family and I had an amazing stay in The Ritz-Carlton New Orleans. After an unfortunate mishap where we were unable to fly to Italy, we pivoted at the very last minute and decided to go to New Orleans. Kiara (sp?) at the front desk was so warm and welcoming. We told her about our situation and she immediately did everything she could to make us feel comfortable. She was so sweet. On our first evening she sent a bottle of champagne and a charcuterie board to our room, along with a hand written note! What a beautiful touch! Our daughters were also given delicious sweets in their room. The service we received from Kiara and the whole Ritz Carlton staff was exceptional! In addition to the great service, we also loved the restaurant and the lounge, including the incredible live music that they offered. The location couldn't be better. One side of the building opens directly into the French Quarter (without it being too close to all of the action on Bourbon Street to be too noisy) and the other side of the hotel lets you out onto the city side where you could shop and enjoy other restaurants. Needless to say, due in large part to the Ritz’s staff and incredible accommodations, our trip exceeded our expectations, and we will definitely be returning to The Ritz-Carlton.

We booked a 4 night stay at the RC New Orleans. We were dropped off at the taxi stand on Canal Street in front of the hotel. No one from the hotel was standing at the entrance door. We didn’t realize we could have been dropped off at a different entrance and had to drag our bags to the second entrance. After telling the front desk about this, someone was always standing at the Canal Street entrance for the remainder of our stay. Pros The staff here is fantastic. The executive suite is very comfortable with a view of the courtyard. The Jeremy Davenport lounge. What talented musicians. A highlight of this property Cons Location. Canal Street is pretty seedy if you want to walk around. Water pressure in shower. Disappointing. The Club lounge Great staff Beautiful rooms The breakfast buffet food was sitting out too long for us to feel good eating there. Our reservation included breakfast in the dining room where they had an omelette station. We had a great breakfast there every morning Canapés in the club lounge were good some nights, not good other nights. Pelligrino was only offered on Friday and Saturday nights. Wine options and mixed drinks were available every night. The desserts on Saturday night were perfection. Room service food was good. Dining room food and service were fair.

We stayed at the Ritz with a wedding party and had a group rate per night (with taxes) of about $350 a night. Perhaps for that reason, we were put in a tiny room with no view and the housekeeping staff either put us last on the list (service around 4:30 p.m. or forgot us altogether some days. The "good" of this location is that it is conveniently located to New Orleans' great restaurants and museums. The front desk staff is also friendly and helpful. In the afternoon every day, the chef gives guests a fresh beignet which is delicious. There is also a band in the lounge which is very fun. The "bad" is that the hotel is run down and, for example, the water was pouring through the skylight into the restaurant one rainy morning at breakfast (we changed tables). There was also a contraption in the lobby by the elevator to soak up water. Our room had absolutely no view other than a building with windows boarded up. Breakfast is also quite expensive and the average cost for 2 people to have the buffet and coffee was over $100.
