Great stay for Jazz Fest

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

I stay at W’s worldwide, but some are better than others. I have stayed at the W in the French Quarter on several occasions. Today I’m writing to give a positive shoutout to the staff, from the front desk, to the restaurant, and to the valet and cleaning staff during my current visit. In particular, I would like to recognize the manager, Leslie. Leslie took initiative on an issue that was not even brought to her attention, making our stay even better. I value when staff and management go the extra mile to make things better for the customer. If you want a great location, great service and a taste of the NOLA, give the W a try.

Couples anniversary quick trip

I read a few bad reviews about this hotel but went for it anyway. My experience was nothing but pleasant. Clean rooms, staff was amazing a very helpful. And the manager even gave us free valet parking. Latoya at the front desk is a BOSS. She handled mine and others customers needs attentively, with great patience, hospitality, and professionalism. The 3rd block restaurant offered great food with awesome service. Beautiful courtyard and an easy walk to everything. Great stay. Would definitely recommend The W to all fellow travelers. Can’t wait to come back for another stay!

Who Needs A Tour Guide?

It’s my first time in NOLA and I’m staying at the W New Orleans with my family. The hotel staff are so nice and informative. Latoya C. delved into the history of NOLA and she also suggested the best places to be! My family and I are having a great experience here!

My Bartender Is Better Than YOURS!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

It’s our first time visiting NOLA and the staff at the W New Orleans did not disappoint. The hotel is very busy for the holiday weekend and spring break but that did not prevent our bartender, Katonya, from meeting our needs. We celebrated my son's 15th birthday on Easter Sunday and boy, we had a time! She made sure he had a memorable birthday. She brought out an extra table for the cake. She lit the candles, cut and wrapped slices in saran wrap. She even managed to capture some photos! Thanks hon, we truly appreciate you!!!

Lighting Not the Greatest

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

CON: I value lighting in a hotel room - to see by and to read in bed by. Whom ever choose the lighting was more into "Mood Lighting", not practical. After entering the room, one light switch did turn on 1 overhead light, way inside the room, over a table. It also lit up light coming from under both Queen Beds, and along the top of 1 bed (guess the other was burned out). Only 1 side of the bed had the light controls and an extra lamp for reading. The side I was on had nothing, so I had to use the lights coming over from the top of the bed to read by, not real great. So my "light" went off when the light control on the other side of the bed was turned off. And yes, on one side of each Queen bed (so a total of two of these lights), there was an odd light that lit up a liquid looking bottle. Again, not functional light. In the Bathroom, the switch turned on an overhead light, which did light up the bathroom, but not directly on the mirror. Again, there were lights coming out of the sides of the mirror, more "Mood" than practical. I don't use make-up, and good luck to the person that does, trying to put it on with that lighting! A very poor design light wise, for the room and the bathroom. PRO: Nice large TV, and comfortable beds. One wall was a bit curved towards the window, and it had a 3-D color design on it. That was rather nice - better than just a plain wall. BUT due to the lighting, I would not stay here again.
