I stayed at the Windsor Court for work, as well as the Ritz. Between the 2, I'd select the Windsor Court every time. The building exterior is not remarkable, and the no-man's land block is rather odd. But, over time I began to appreciate that it was on a relatively quiet block, just far enough away from Canal and the the madness of the French Quarter. The entry court is nice, although the awning is somewhat moldy and the Valet area seems to be a storage area for unsightly junk. The entry hall feels a bit dated, and the registration desk itself needs's dirty with the finish worn right off the wood and the desk area a stained formica. The desk attendants fumbled and bumbled a bit looking for my reservation, and eventually clumsily handed over a bunch of paperwork about my Club level amenities. I got into the elevator, which had stains splashed over the brass plate with the floor buttons, and looked down at a very stained carpet, and thought....yuck. However, my 19th floor hallway was clean, and my 2-room suite was clean and fresh. The decor is pretty minimal, but a nice contrast to the very over-decorated Ritz. There was a nice wet bar, a vanity area with sink, and a roomy bathroom. The bed linens were high quality, and the view over the city from the bed was relaxing. Outlets were readily accessible from the bed to charge phone, etc. I spent time in the 22nd floor club lounge, which was not as large as the Ritz but was never crowded and had a nice range of food and beverage. Carpets were a bit frayed here and there, but there was access to a couple of outdoor seating areas and the light and views were delightful. Again, in the Club level, the service was bumbling. The gentleman attendant during my visits was always preoccupied on a personal cell phone conversation. No one every welcomed me or said a word to me. The spa, while small, had a nice entry area and clean, nice smelling treatment rooms. The pool on the same level is rare in that it is outdoors/open, and has a bar and tons of seating. The nearby fitness room is small by any measure. I dined once in the restaurant, and the food was solid. Not inventive, but reliably good. The 2nd floor Polo Lounge is woody and masculine, and a welcoming space with nice windows. There is another bar on the ground floor, which is just overall darker and a bit echo-y. There is also a very nice coffee shop on that level, with nice pastries. Despite my misgivings upon check in, the WC really grew on me, and I would definitely return. The main improvements I would suggest just some freshening up of the elevators, a replacement of the reg. desk, and some service training for the staff.

Our stay at Windsor Court was fantastic! We traveled with kids during spring break. Needless to say, it is a busy time. Yet the folks at Windsor Court upgraded us to a lovely suite, which gave us the much-needed room. Our room was lovely. It was on the 11th floor with a view of the Mississippi. We had two rooms, a grand bathroom and a small kitchenette. Everything from arrival to departure was simply lovely. We were greeted by the friendliest smiles from the valet staff. The check-in was quick and simple. The concierge desk always helpful. The housekeeping staff deserves kudos for their exemplary work. The performers who played amazing jazz over the weekend were wonderful. Finally, a special shout out to all the employees at the Grill. We ate breakfast at the hotel every morning, and every single person there made us feel special. From the lovely ladies who greeted our family by name every morning and picked a special spot for us to sit, to the phenomenal waitstaff, who were always warm and friendly. Every morning was a celebration! NOLA is an amazing place to visit, and the Windsor with its staff makes it proud. If I could, I would move in and never leave. Thank you for giving us a magical experience!

We had an amazing experience at the Hotel...Check in with friendly faces..Nick the Concierge was beyond amazing with helpful tips and a complete desire to please. They served High Tea daily...great music playing on two floors of the hotel...our favorite was John in the beautiful Polo Lounge upstairs. Our room was spacious and beautifully appointed. We enjoyed a deluxe suite with a balcony... The location of the hotel is perfect. You are within walking distance without being on top of the French Quarter. We researched ALL of the better hotels in the area and we chose the Windsor Court.....and we would choose them again. When we travel we have 'expectations" :)))). The Windsor did not disappoint!

By far my favorite hotel in NOLA. The service is fantastic, rooms are spacious and nice, the spa is amazing, lovely pool area and convenient to everything. Even though you're in the middle of the city it feels quiet and private. Love, love, love this hotel!

This is a beautiful, clean, modernized old hotel. Every detail is taken care of and the staff from valet to housekeeping all were on the job and polite! We enjoyed the experience in every way. The turn down service was an unexpected addition! Worth the price.
