Reviews for Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley
We loved our stay at this hotel and would 100% recommend it to travelers from both near and far. It's located in such a beautifully peaceful valley and gives the feeling of being somewhere far removed — though it's still easy to access from Sydney (leisurely 3 hour drive). The food was the best we had on our trip. I was worried with it being all-inclusive that we'd be stuck without many choices, but we were delighted at each meal. The food was unique and delivered vibrant flavor, all without being too presumptuous. The rooms were beautiful and we loved sitting out on the screened porch. While beautiful, they are starting to show their age a bit and seem due for some upgrades. Neither my husband nor I found the bed exceeding comfortable. Other upgrade ideas: heated toilet seats, loungers of some-sort on the porch (We loved sitting out there, but the wood rocking chairs are only comfortable for so long), cushioned bike seat options, plunge pool tile upgrades, and it would be nice if the main pool was slightly heated. Overall we left this resort with fond memories and are so glad we were able to visit. Oh yeah, there are kangaroos galore in case you were worried about seeing any like we were.
Everything about this place is amazing - the views, the wildlife, the food, the staff, the villa and the pool. Just go and see it - like nowhere on earth. We loved it so much we stayed an extra day and when we accidentally arrived a day early they accommodated us no problem. Just wonderful

We booked two nights at Wolgan Valley as part of our recent trip to Australia and New Zealand. Upon arriving we realized we had made an error, and that the range of activities including Kids (Ranger) Club, biking, hiking and nature tours would have easily kept us happily occupied for another day or two. In hindsight, we would have reduced our stay in Sydney (which was beautiful) by a night and added a night to Wolgan Valley. Service was excellent (Ben was great with our 7-yo son, Rose was an amazing teacher for the children, and my daughters enjoyed archery with Ellie), food excellent and the accommodations were top notch. Only caveat is the rather exorbitant price as has been discussed by others.

Loved the room decor, fireplace and private swimming pool. Staff were courteous and helpful throughout our stay. Loved the abundance of wildlife and complimentary bicycles available at our villas throughout our stay. We’ve stayed at several luxury inclusive accommodations over the last year (eg. Saffire Freycinet, One & Only Hayman Island) & we were a little disappointed with the limited options & quality of the meals here at Emirates One & Only.. -breakfast selection were very limited -lunch was good as there were salad/juices selections available -dinner 5 course meals were good but they charge extra$ for wine pairing (which were all inclusive during all our meals/our stay at Saffire) Additional cost/charges for any tours/activities (except for their in property guided walks)- We did the horse riding tour & the self guided tour to the glow worm tunnel. Unfortunately a cost is also attached to the self guided flow worm tour as you’ll need to have a driver that drives you out the property gate & to the start of the track- approx 5mins away- which was a bit of a bummer... All in all great wildlife experience - but this may be More suited for families with kids/family trip.

Extremely shocked at the poor value for money of this resort. Major highlights were the incredible scenery and huge well appointed comfortable villas as well as friendly staff. Significant maintenance shortcomings and lack of cleanliness of dining venues, pool and other areas of resort. Issues with food quality such as steak included in the package being tough and sinewy (punishment for not springing an extra $40. on the premium cuts of meat) and fishy tasting chips in the Country Kitchen at lunch due to the chips being cooked in the same oil as the fish from the fish and chips.
