The Hyatt Andaz is centrally located across from the beautiful Bryant Park and the modern amenities and helpful staff are amazing!! I stay here for every NYC visit.

The staff was very sorry to hear the failures of the hotel but beside sympathy they didn’t come Bach t me as was promised few times. I would choose another hotel on my next visits to.NY.

The hotel and rooms are great, however the staff are very unhelpful and not welcoming at all. Shows complete lack of staff training, which is surprising from a Hyatt brand.

we stayed 4 days at the Andaz in New York. We booked a suite which was perfect for me, my wife and our 2 children. The room was pretty quite except for the first night when there were some roadworks outside. Luckily that stopped after midnight and we didn't hear in the days after. We really enjoyed the luxury feeling of the Andaz and the breakfast. There was no buffet but the a-la-carte selection was sufficient. Special note for the excellent cappuccino! Very important for us in the morning and it was excellent. we really liked the location on 5th Avenue; in the middle of all the buzz but still relatively quite! All in all a brilliant stay.

We were really looking forward to our stay at the Andaz, since we'd stayed there once years ago and it was terrific (and we used a Hyatt award to upgrade to a suite this time). But it was an unfortunate disappointment. The room was spacious and the bathroom was great, and the location of course is superb (hence the 2 stars rather than 1). But there was no decor or character; the furnishings were old, uncomfortable, and scuffed; edges of the cabinets were pulling away from the walls; one pillow was a sack of lumps and bumps; the towels were thin and rough; the mattress was extremely saggy; the air vents desperately needed a vacuuming; and a flickering light bulb that we reported to the front desk was never replaced. For a flagship hotel at one of Hyatt's high-end brands, this one didn't come close to living up to billing or expectations.
