If I had to rate only my first day front desk experience it would be a 5 star. I arrived early morning (may 15th) and front desk (Jennifer?) was outstanding. However, next day when going for breakfast there was no room. Also, upon checkout there was a mistake in the bill, which was corrected after I noticed it, but took nearly 10 min of waiting for it to be corrected). Room was clean. Pillow menu a nice touch. Bathroom sink so tiny water splashes out. Location very convenient.

First stay, having seen the hotel and rooms when one of my daughters was staying recently. I liked the small size, intimacy of reception and staff in lobby area and the generous room with kitchenette. Pleasant staff and it was clear that there are plenty of regular guests just observing the interaction at the front desk. Great location and easy access to subway and buses going both north and south. Very pleased and look forward to returning soon.

This is, by New York standards, a small apartment hotel. The suits are lovely - classically styled rather than hyper-modern - but classy and certainly very comfortable. The service is good. I especially liked the doorman who was super helpful in asking if we needed directions or a cab or anything. It snowed heavily when we stayed (March 2017) and the few staff who could make it in and/or had been organized to keep things going did a superb job of making sure a day of the city being virtually closed didn't turn into a hotel guest's nightmare. Housekeeping was also excellent throughout our stay, with the staff on our floor learning our daily routines and fitting in their service around it. The hot water could sometimes be tricky. And for several days when we were there a convention, part of which was being hosted by the hotel, made it difficult to use the hotel's small lifts. I had to walk up eleven flights of stairs a few times which I chalked up to extra aerobic exercise! Despite these things, it is a homey place, and in a great part of town, certainly for what I want. We'll definitely be back.

Located in midtown and close to everything. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was bigger than expected given this was New York City. Furnishings were up to date and the quality you would expect from. Boutique hotel in New York City. Excellent overall, and would definitely go back.

Nice hotel, but there were issues with hot water- takes a while to get it, and it ran out quickly. Staff is attentive and courteous, location is great. Didn't make it to the restaurant. There is a luncheonette 2 doors down - great for breakfast.
