We loved that this room was large, clean and well appointed. It had a little kitchen area with a large fridge and microwave, drip filter coffee machine with excellent cleaners who replenished the coffee supply daily. So nice to wake up and not have to dress to go out and get coffee. Rather nice to have such a big room in a city tight for space. The King bed was comfortable and everything in the room felt clean with fresh white covers. New TVs were installed during our stay - 55 or 65 inch. We had a corner room, 1404, with a window that opened in the bathroom on the side and a window at the front. New York sirens and beeping were part of the charm of the city - we didn't leave the windows open for sleeping but great to have the outside air option. There was a small bath to help after big walk days. There were small maintenance issues with the soap dispenser, bath plug etc. but nothing that detracted from enjoying the room. They didn't worry us so we didn't ask for them to be repaired - I'm sure they would have been if we'd asked. This spacious room was great to return to after big days of exploring. The staff were friendly, efficient and obliging. The green subway line across the road took us to all the places we wanted to go. We stayed 6 nights and were very happy coming back each day to this room.

We stayed here for 5 nights. Our room was small, which was fine but it was incredibly stuffy and we could not find a way to improve the situation. So, while it was freezing outside, we were forced to have the a/c on, just so we could be comfortable. The beds are comfy - nice duvets - and the room and bathroom were very clean. My parents stayed in a deluxe double and had none of the issues we did with heat/stuffiness.

The Benjamin is a boutique hotel, centrally located on the corner of Lexington and East 50th. The rooms are comfortable and quiet, the staff professional and helpful, and the restaurant is excellent. Within walking distance of the iconic Chrysler Building, and Grand Central Station, it is also close to tree-lined streets with elegant brownstones, Times Square and the Rockefeller Centre. MOMA is just around the corner. A great hotel in a great location.

This is a beautiful hotel but what really sets it apart is the exemplary service the staff provides the guests. I would particularly like to recognize the efforts of two of the staff that went above and beyond, Jamie and Elias were right there when you wanted something and greeted us with a smile and a Hi how can I help you. No request went unfulfilled. The rooms were large and clean and the decor was elegant and understated. But it truly was the staff that made our stay
