I hadn't been at the hotel for almost a decade, and found it to be just as great as ever. Still love the pillow menu (with sections for side sleepers, back sleepers, tummy sleepers!), the midtown location with everything within reach, and the great staff. My room was pretty big for NY standards, and very quiet.

This hotel was fantastic. The room, the view and the staff. The staff were very friendly, attentive and made you feel at home. We met Gunita upon arriving and she was a true professional at her craft. I know that she works there but she made us feel like family during our stay. She made our first city experience one to never forget. They provided a few surprises for our anniversary for my wife and I when we returned from our broadway show that made our anniversary extra special. Can't wait to go back!

I like The Benjamin and it is a great little place to stay. Nice staff, large roooms, great location, and a easy stay all the way around. I'm a Marriot reward traveler, however I like the feel of the boutique visit in a big city.

I got a great deal on Hotel Tonight at The Benjamin. I was here for an overnight trip only and booked here, but not knowing what type of room I was getting. I ended up with a queen room which was fine. The pleasant surprise was the balcony. It was too hot to really be out there. The unpleasant surprise was the long stringy strand of black hair in the bathroom. YUCK...housekeeping. The location was fine, it was a $10 cab ride from Penn Station. I would stay here again if I got a balcony.

It's a nightmare trying to chose a hotel in NYC - but we found this little gem for a couple of nights, Fri and Sat in June 2017 before we moved to a work preferred hotel and were so disappointed to have to leave it. The staff were fabulous and friendly, the rooms were a great size, the bed was extremely comfortable. All aspects of the hotel were clean and nicely presented. Elemis toiletries in the bathroom. A little kitchen area with a microwave and sink - no kettle of course for the brits - but hey ho. The gym was one of the best I've seen in a boutique hotel and more than adequate for our needs and nice and clean with apples and cold water etc. The bar on the ground floor served fabulous cocktails and the barman even took a recipe from the website of my favourite cocktail bar at home and made it for me - even improving upon it. We ate here as well and the food was very nice. The hotel was in a good location for us for getting to the sites and metro. etc. Lovely front of house staff who helped with luggage and made you feel extremely welcome on arrival, luggage taken up to our rooms promptly. It really was a shame to leave this lovely hotel to go the zoo that is the Hyatt at Grand Central.
