Visited the Benjamin Hotel for 7 nights and stayed on 14 and 16 floors. Jennifer (?) the receptionist greeted us very warmly and friendly. Jennifer was very accommodating to our requests. We were upgraded to a larger room with 2 queen size beds with a lovely view. When there was a problem with smoke coming from another room my brother was immediately moved with no fuss. Although this is a no smoking hotel you cannot control what other people do in a room. Special thanks goes out to the concierge team Khady, Sarah, Gina, Anya and Tom who were so friendly and helpful and could not do enough for you. A big thank you to the door men especially Joseph who was the first one to greet us on our arrival and made us feel at home. It was a great location to see all the sights and all walkable. Great access to the metro and fares cheap $2.75 pp per trip. Once you worked out whether you were going uptown or downtown the metro was fairly easy to get around. We never ate in the restaurant but it was always packed and vibrant. My brother had a drink in the bar and the bartender Russell was very friendly. The lobby and hallways are a bit on the small side and a little dark but the staff made you feel very welcome. The rooms were modern and bright but the bathroom could do with an update. Our rooms had a kitchenette which had a kettle, fridge and microwave which was brilliant for a hot drink in the morning/evenings. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. Thank you to all the staff at the hotel for making our stay a memorable one.

I absolutely loved staying at The Benjamin. The hotel was beautiful, location perfect and staff beyond friendly! Its walking distance from central park, grand central, and 5th Ave. I also ate at their onsite restaurant, The National. Make sure to grab a croque madame while you are there.. it was better than the ones I had in Paris!

Visited for 7 nights and had a room on 12th floor. Staff at reception and check in were really helpful as were the door staff. Free Wi-fi in the lobby or you can buy a daily or weekly pass for the room. We never ate at the hotel but the menu looked nice, if a bit pricey. It was a great location to visit all the sights of NYC with great access to subway. It’s only a 30 min subway ride to the south of Manhattan where many of the tourist locations are (911 museum and Statue of Liberty etc) We flew into JFK and got the AirTrain and subway to within 5 minutes of the hotel (about an hour in total)

My wife and I traveled to New York for a quick getaway and to see a show. I chose the Benjamin because it was centrally located and they had the ability to have chocolate covered strawberries and some spring flowers waiting for my wife once we arrived. Once there, we noticed we had a queen bed, which was fine but small for us. On our way to dinner we casually asked if we could get a king bed room and, to our delight, they moved us to a one bedroom suite. The concierge had great recommendations for restaurants and the staff and front desk were always friendly and helpful. Although the hotel is bit dark in the lobby and the hallways can be updated, the rooms were modern and bright.

There is a $35 per day hotel facilities fee that is not told beforehand. It is for internet and $10 drink they force you to buy. It is robbery. This should be optional and disclosed at the time of arrival.
