I am a frequent NYC visitor and frequently use The Benjamin; it is now my go-to East Side hotel. Staff are well-trained, professional, and friendly. Physical plant is well-maintained and now, as best I can tell, 100% renovated. Rooms are well-done, now mostly well-designed, and some of the

The staff were all friendly and helpful (including taking care of a ticket we got when we left the car for the valet). The room was clean and well-maintained. We brought our dog and all the staff loved petting her -- as we walked through the hotel and when they came to the room. You can't beat the location -- lots of food options and close enough to walk to Broadway shows, and near subway lines. We had a small balcony which had a great view and a little seating area for morning coffee. Would definitely stay here again!

For me the mid-town location could not have been better (although there are several hotels equally convenient, like the Marriott and the W). Staff was friendly. Room (1 bed suite) was OK, bathroom was way below par for a $600 a might room. But real issue is the 5th floor location was ridiculously loud from street traffic all night. No chance I would go back to this hotel. Ps.: Room service food bordered on inedible.

Situated on Lexington and 50th, this hotel is right in the middle of Manhattan Midtown with a subway station on 50meters. Friendly staff. The service is close to a 5-star hotel, the rooms not always. We had a junior suite and a king room, both had small bathrooms and the cleaning could be better. Equipped with a kitchenette however. Noisy airco and impossible to sleep with an open window because of traffic or power/airco groups. In the morning, the smell of breakfast came into our room on the seventh floor. We also missed some luxury five star amenities.

We stayed at Then Benjamin for business over a 4 day period. The hotel was very clean. The staff was accommodating and polite. There was always someone standing by who asked if we needed help or asked how we were doing. We never felt like we had to find someone to ask. We will definitely be staying again!
