Website shows dining tables in Terrace Suite's photos....they did not exist for our 1st or 2nd terrace suite. They did bring an old pair of folding tables to the 2nd terrace suite we moved to. Also, we asked for 3 suites on the same floor as we had 6 children. All suites were on different floors. Hotel is "dowdy" cracked glass furniture and soils and stains on accent chairs! Spots on wall to wall carpets. Different lamps have different colored light bulbs... Felt there was no attempt to provide what the website photos showed!

This hotel is an excellent choice if you're staying in New York as we did for a week as the room comes with a neat little kitchenette complete with fridge. The location is really handy being in mid town and most places of interest are actually within walking distance and for those where you need the metro it's at the corner of the street. There are handy restaurants, bars and shops nearby - all in all it's a really good place to stay.

Day before departing Benjamin I asked the Russian concierge to arrange for limo service from hotel to JFK Sunday morning . She quoted me $150 , CASH ONLY...no credit cards accepted. I took limo service from JFK to Benjamin & charge was only $42 . Plus I lived in NYC for 30 years & know when Im being ripped off. All of this just sounds very suspicious to me ..

The Benjamin Hotel is my home away from home. I have visited this property over the last several years, and it is a delightful experience from the time I exit the car to my departure. The staff across the board is gracious, polite, and professional, especially Gunita and Jennifer, who could not be more pleasant in their welcome at check in!

The windows seriously need double glazing because the noise from the road disturbed our sleep. Sirens etc. We've stayed here before but must have had a room at the back, because I don't remember hearing quite so much noise that time.
