We researched luxury hotels extensively and decided the Crosby was the best choice for the part of New York we wanted to be in. We booked two rooms but due to a glitch there was a problem. I spoke with David Quiroga reservation manager who calmly and apologetically laid out the issue. He found a way out of the conundrum in a very professional and satisfactory way. At the best hotels they will do this: personalize your experience and find out of the box ways to keep clients with high expectations happy. At some other high end hotels in NYC you will get lip service without the underlying help or substantive commitment to client happiness.

Today, I visited the hotel for a crucial meeting with my client, intending to discuss design ideas for his new space, inspired by the hotel’s style. However, my experience was marred by unwelcoming interactions with the staff. When I attempted to charge my laptop at the restaurant, I was abruptly informed that it wasn’t allowed. Relocating to the library for a charge, I was promptly escorted out by the assistant beverage manager, Shelly, who insisted that only hotel guests were permitted there. This lack of flexibility and accommodation made me feel unwelcome. Despite understanding the necessity of rules, the abruptness of the staff’s response and their failure to offer alternatives left a negative impression. As someone who has frequented 5-star hotels globally, I am disappointed by the snobbish and dismissive treatment I received. It’s disheartening to see a hotel prioritize current guests over potential future ones, neglecting the fundamental principles of good customer service. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel based on my experience.

This is a gem. The decor is unique -- boho meets pet lovers (I assume furry friends are welcome). Great service. Lovely turndown touches (candle, pillow spritz). A serious, serious minibar. A good in-house restaurant and a lovely drawing room with a nice selection of drinks -- hot and cold. I've stayed in a lot of hotels in New York, and this is one of the best boutiques. Rule Brittania!

Even though it rained non -stop we had the perfect cozy place to land. This is a special hotel, the design and location are unmatched. Had tea and cocktails in the lobby bar and felt pampered and happy. Something about being tucked away on a cobblestone street in the middle of a big city is just heaven. As are the beds and robes. Look forward to coming back soon.
