5 Star Customer Service

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

Marlene at the front desk provided the BEST customer service! She was not only knowledgeable but personable and made our stay very enjoyable and special. I hope the CEO and President of this company takes time to find Marlene as she exemplifies 5 star service! Thank you Marlene!

Perfect SoHo Stay

The Dominick never disappoints! Gorgeous hotel, beautiful rooms with very comfortable beds. Welcoming from the moment you enter the building. Great pool, although we did not have time to use it this trip. SoHo location is perfect.

Dominick is NOT a 5 star hotel that can command 1000+ bucks a night. Desperately needs renovation & better staff!

While in a superb location with the height to enjoy some amazing views, the Dominick NYC is FAR from being a 5 star hotel. It's almost fraudulent to say it's a 5 star hotel unless they really do something about training their front desk staff, up the cleaning job and renovate the entire building including the outdated/slow elevators. The front desk staff were unwilling to accommodate my requests despite booking way in advance. It's the way they spoke to me that really turned me off - extremely rude and power tripping. Very unprofessional. I did see one incoming guest being treated very differently being shown detailed layout sheets of the rooms and varying views one day. I believe you have to personally tip the staff to have your requests heard. The queue to the outdated elevator was crazy on the weekends. The hallways on the floors had no AC, so it was disgustingly hot. The WIFI in the room was not working. The room... where do I begin? They haven't renovated this hotel since the Trump Soho days, so it is extremely old. The cabinets were full of scarring and some were creaky. The phones are near antique corded CISCO phones. The curtains are blackout, but the gaps on top makes them NOT blackouts. A lot of wear and tear visible throughout the room. The worst was the cleaning job. I found dust all along the window, used contact lens (which I stepped on, gross), hair/nail and other unidentified pieces of something. In one of the cabinets was a wooden kid's lipstick toy. Cute, but probably full of germs. Fitness gym - very small and also outdated. I only had breakfast at the hotel, so I cannot speak for the food quality. The only positive I can say for this hotel would be the doormen and the bell desk guys. They were superbly friendly and helpful throughout my stay. They deserve an applause for making me feel better despite my disappointment.

Beautiful 2 bedroom suite for our family of 5

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

We had a short but great stay at The Dominick. Service and amenities were great. Staff was friendly and helpful. We had a beautiful 2 bedroom suite for our family. King suite with amazing corner view and connecting king room. Both were spacious and comfortable. Perfect for our family of five.
