The size of the hotel room was above average for NYC and appropriately furnished for a hotel of this category. The bed was comfortable. The sound isolation of the room was sub par with party sounds from above interrupting our sleep during the first night. Frequent door slamming was also very unpleasant. Upon arrival, we noticed that some of the tins of nuts in the mini bar were empty and we reported this to the front desk. Even though they apologized, we were still charged for the nuts after checkout. Finally, as mentioned in other reviews, the elevators don’t work properly leading to long wait times. Our longest wait was 14 minutes and it was not the only time this happened.

I stayed at The Dominick Hotel and had one of the most frightening hotel experiences of my life. I witnessed a physical altercation in the lobby where a man shoved a woman onto a table. Multiple guests, including myself, were nearby, and no security intervened at any point despite repeated requests for help. I began filming because no staff was stopping the situation. Later, the man returned to the lobby and aggressively threatened me, forcing me to delete the video from my phone. I was terrified. Hotel staff did absolutely nothing to protect me or check if I was okay. One employee made a racist comment saying you “can’t expect anything less from people who don’t come from money.” The individuals involved were Black — and so am I. This comment was unacceptable and deeply offensive. Management was dismissive and emphasized that the man was a “paying customer” and a “famous UK artist,” as if that justified his behavior. For a five-star hotel, the lack of security, accountability, and basic guest safety was shocking. I felt unsafe and deeply disappointed. This hotel is more of a 3 star then 5! They told me to email their customer relationship person to help handle the situation. I still have not heard back from him. They seem to not care at all about any other customer besides a celebrity.

Our family loved staying at the Dominick! The room was spacious and very comfortable, and the location was wonderful for walking around SoHo and connecting to other areas via subway or taxi. While the hotel seemed busy, it was quiet at night and we were able to get good rest. The best of all was the service from the wonderful staff - everyone we encountered was extremely friendly and professional!

The hotel is lovely, room was large and well appointed, breakfast was delicious and service was great. The elevators, however were a disaster. It took 10 minutes to get an elevator and then it stopped on every floor because guests were waiting. We were late for our son’s wedding because of it. Apparently there was one elevator out of service but even the bellmen staff were complaining that “the elevators suck”

I wanted to take a moment to share my recent experience at The Dominick Hotel. To say it was the best client experience I've had would be an understatement. The attention to detail and the quality of service provided were truly remarkable. From the moment we arrived, the staff at The Dominick went above and beyond to ensure our stay was nothing short of amazing. Every interaction was marked by genuine warmth and professionalism, which made us feel exceptionally valued as a guest. Their dedication to excellence set a new standard for what hospitality should be. We cannot praise the staff enough for their efforts. Special recognition to Mohendra Halall at the front Desk and to Merrick who's big smile greets you at the front door, they truly made our stay memorable and enjoyable. If you are looking for a place where you can expect top-notch service and an unforgettable experience, The Dominick Hotel is the place to be. Looking forward to our next visit already! Warm regards, The Shea’s
