Despite booking under my name, and showing passports on check in, my new partner was greeted repeatedly under my estranged husbands surname for the duration of our stay. Missed out on the 5 stars as the pool was closed in winter months even though it was advertised as indoor heated lounge pool. It is outside and only open in summer. We stayed in the Hudson suite. Beds were extremely comfortable. Lovely room with large bath and a rainfall shower. The decor could do with a bit of spruce up in colour as browns seems very outdated/80s having stayed in many much more modern 4 and 5 star hotels around the world. Staff were very friendly and helpful and well dressed. Especially housekeeping and concierge. Would recommend as a place to stay if you don't mind the noise. But I think that's the whole of New York

It was a special weekend for us - and the hotel did not suit the mood. It was cold, and we hadn’t booked a suite, so the rooms were more on the holiday inn looking side. If you have business in wall street, or family in Soho, it can make sense. First off all as we entered, there was not a single greeting, and we waited for about 10 minutes before any acknowledgement at the front desk. I asked the gentleman standing in lobby for WiFi, as we had just come in from long flight and had others in town we needed to check in on —and they were clueless. I saw the concierge and approached him, and he was fab and had it (but the other staff member should have connected me with him in first place). Then staff member who checked us in was less then charming, bordering on rude. She had attitude beyond, and “she was always right” rather than the customer being acknowledged. Luckily Omar entered into the picture. He moved us to a different room, as we were shocked at the rooms and the deteriorated furniture. In the end, it was basically the same, and we checked out after one night at this hotel. Too tired to move around on arrival. Unfortunately the same dreadful staff checked my fiancé out and she was further trying to qualify herself and the hotel. She said you must pay for five star luxury - I have no idea what she was talking about, but any further comments were inappropriate. She needs to know that hotels are customer based, not a UN negotiations. Although on departure, the doorman was delightful. A little bit of touching up (or new furniture), cleaning the rooms better (we felt they were a bit dirty) and more guys like Omar and the doorman, would make a difference. And definitely, please put the young woman who checked us in through some more customer based training!

We stayed at the Dominick Hotel for my Birthday & this hotel truly ticked all the boxes. We had a beautiful room with a view of the Freedom Tower. The room was very comfortable & the amenities were great! Thanks Dominick for making my Birthday even more special!

What an amazing experience! The Dominick's lobby is sleek and modern and the front desk staff is incredibly welcoming. I booked through Amex FHR and was given early check-in and a room upgrade. I also had a fantastic manicure with Maria (my spa amenity) and a delicious breakfast in the morning - I love my Amex FHR amenities! The hotel is well-located in Soho. The rooms are large with updated bathrooms and the most comfortable bed that I've ever slept in! Not only is the mattress amazing, but the sheets are soft and the pillows are fluffy! I would highly recommend the Dominick and will definitely stay there again!

I recently stayed at The Dominick with my daughter Audrey's Golden 15th Birthday. We stayed from January 25-28. I had planned some surprises for her since it was a girl's trip and hubby stayed home so we could have some fun! The Hotel had some very nice people working there and even though we had some issues with some of her surprises and other things. It was the way that the Management handled everything! Omar the Manager really went after correcting the situations and really made it right immediately. Omar and I got to know each other quite quickly it was very reassuring. I was extremely impressed with this, because we only stay at 5 star Hotels and when problems do occur, not always does the Management try to correct the situations. We stayed in the One Bedroom family suite and was extremely impressed by the magnificent views of not only New York but also the Hudson River and New Jersey. We left the windows open all night it was fabulous! The water pressure in the shower was also fantastic and this usually doesn't happen. The bellmen and the doormen were so courteous and very happy all of the time. At first I wasn't sure if I would revisit this Hotel, but honestly, I thing I do respect is when something goes wrong and mistakes happen, it is how the Management approaches and handles the situation that is important. For this, as well as the views and room size I believe The Dominick will be a Hotel our family will revisit when we are in New York.
