Nice Hotel, Unfortunately, on our 3rd day, we came back to our room and our door was not completely closed and our Ipad Pro and a bag full of stuff were taken. I can not say for certain that when we left the room we did not pull the door completely shut so it clicked in. However, any other time we left, the door would close completely without us pulling on it. Let's assume we did not shut it completely, in which case for someone to notice that the door was not locked completely they must have had a good look. And it is a little concerning that in a matter of 3 hours someone took things. They left my husband's brand new blue $500 Salvador Ferragamo behind, weird. Anyway, the hotel did nothing. We were told that none of their employees used their key to access our room that day until after the theft occured. So who took our things? Who knows? A stranger entering the hotel going around looking for unlocked doors or a staff member? I don't know, I also don't even know if we did leave the door open and someone entered without our knowledge. The hotel management was of little help and not at all sympathetic. The entire stay the room my daughter and son's door jammed so they could not open it from the inside for several seconds. A huge fire safety issue that they were not able to fix, also without an apology. As well as several times our keys would stop working for no reason and we had to go downstairs and get new keys. By the end of the 5 days, we had quite a collection of keys for both rooms, that suddenly all worked. A potentially wonderful stay ruined. We will be following up with their head office.

Standard rooms are modern and clean with great bathrooms. The hotel is stylish and has an amazing pool and upstairs bar. We used it for an two night stay in the city and were very happy. The location is not in the middle of things so much as it is central and you can walk to so many things in each direction.

This is a truly wonderful hotel, we loved staying here. Situated on the corner of Park Avenue and 29th Street and one block from a Metro station this establishment is in a fabulous location. From the moment we arrived my wife and I were made to feel welcome. Confusion over the type of room we had booked was quickly resolved, resulting in us getting the room we believed we had booked. The outcome was a room with a little terrace overlooking 29th Street. The terrace had a table and chair and two lounges. Our room was spotless with a queen-sized bed, a small on suite bathroom, TV and well stocked bar fridge. The TV has access to cable TV and pay for view movies. The hotel is popular because it has a roof top pool and bar. The pool is only accessible to hotel guests and those who purchase an expensive day pass. Though the pool area is open from 7 pm to those in the bar. The bar is a fabulous place to have a drink and something to eat and 'people watch'! And you can enjoy views of the Empire State Building from the pool. A major irritation is the fact people are allowed to smoke, including cigars in the enclosed pool area while you are eating and drinking, which is a real shame indeed. The hotel has a restaurant that is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Though there are good simple food options for breakfast on the three corners opposite the hotel. The hotel also has a very well appointed gym and a concierge who we used to organise theatre tickets. All the staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. There is also free WiFi - other five star hotels please take note! Though the signal was weak around the pool and on our terrace - a minor matter indeed.

Stayed for a week for work. Very comfortable rooms with a modern touch and younger feel than other business options. I would stay here for work or pleasure. I only had breakfast once in the hotel but it was better than many others I can remember. The staff are all really nice and very helpful which makes a big difference to any stay.
