I have been staying at the Gotham for at least 6 years. Every time I stay I am always treated fantastic. The staff knows me and the things that I like. One person in particular, Mustafa, has taken care of me the past few times. He is always pleasant, has a smile and does what ever he can to accommodate me. I plan on staying at the Gotham each time I go to NYC.

We booked the Gotham based on location and price. Imagine a building 25 feet wide and 25 stories high with interesting architecture. If you weren't paying attention, you'd walk right by it. We arrived at the hotel in the evening and Mustafa checked us in. He was friendly and efficient, explaining how our credit cards would be used. The next morning, Jeinina on the front desk efficiently corrected a billing issue. The location of the hotel (East 46th between Fifth and Madison Avenues) is amazing and was an easy walk to the theater district, the shops on Fifth Avenue, Times Square and many other places. A Dunkun Donuts a couple doors down supplied morning coffee and an afternoon snack. Room 192 was very spacious and contemporary in design. The bathroom was equally stylish and well appointed. Since it is the location of the Gotham Book Store, there were books in the room one could read. I enjoyed looking thru one on southern cooking. The linen on the bed and in the bath were of the best quality. A feature that I liked was a small terrace off the bedroom, and a large terrace off elevator lobby on our floor. Since there was only one other room on that floor, we felt we had the space to ourselves The terrace had a large table with four chairs, a sofa and chair. With electrical outlets, one could relax there with ones laptop and work, enjoying the view. Eldis was very pleasant, eager to be of service. He told us of places to eat in the neighborhood.

We stopped for 6 nights at the end of March, beginning of April, 2017. This was our second time in NYC and the more central location than last time was a major factor in our choosing the Gotham Hotel - this proved to be an excellent decision since it really is conveniently located for the major touristy things (Times Square, theatres, etc). The room was a good size and well kept and more than met our needs (the bed was huge and really comfortable - one of us is now trying to work out how we can lever such a large bed into our home bedroom) - the only thing it could have done with was a second chair to sit on (however, since we didn't spend too much time in our room this wasn't really a problem for us). All the staff at the hotel we encountered (Eldis, Mustafa, Krystal, Dwayne, Jeinana, Robert, Shaun, and the housekeeping staff - sorry if we misspelt any names or missed anyone one out) are the outstanding strength of this hotel - friendly, helpful, and efficient - what more could anyone ask for?

Thanks for a great stay, felt like I had an apartment in the City, perfect location, everyone was nice and helpful. They even found the Bluetooth device I left and are holding it for me. The most spacious room and bathroom I've had in NYC, great value.

Located very conveniently in midtown this hotel has a caring staff that goes out of their way to help you out. We stayed 4 nights and only have nice things to say. Highly recommended if you want to be close to Rockefeller Center, Shopping and the Theatres.
