We met friends for drinks here on Black Friday (sorry I’ve only just gotten round to writing a review!) Perfect place after shopping. Great atmosphere, good food and drinks. I’ve heard the hotel is amazing too and would like to stay.

Lovely hotel and facilities, great location as central but also down a side street away from the hustle and bustle of NYC. However watch out for the fees they take from your card as incidentals, paid my entire bill including taxes but it has been almost 2 weeks since I checked out from the hotel and the incidentals are still showing as pending transactions on my debit card which when they total over £500 can be hard to cope with when I have a mortgage and other monthly payments to be taken. Add onto this a lack of communication from hotel management as to why over £500 in incidentals have been debited from my card instead of the £100 agreed on the day of check in and I have a bit of a sour taste in my mouth about my stay here now which is a real shame as I would have recommended this hotel to others.

I had high expectations for this hotel after reading the reviews and the hotel still managed to exceed them. The rooms are very clean and beautifully appointed. The beds were really comfortable and the staff amazing. I can’t wait to return to the Giotham hotel.

The Gotham is perfect for solo or couples! The beds were super comfortable, with a feather pillowbed topper and premium sheets. Balconies were a lovely touch, seeing Times Square from the communal balcony was an added bonus. . Almost everything is walkable from The Gotham, which was awesome! The in-room nespresso virtuo machine convinced me I need one of those at home! I only wished there were a bathtub, but other than that I couldn't be happier!

We spent a weekend here for work in the city. The hotel is pet friendly and didn't give us any grief about having our service dog. The lobby area was small but the check in process was quick. The room was probably nice when it was new, there is a small balcony which isn't looking at too much, the building directly across the street is under massive construction and isn't much too look at. I know this isn't the hotels fault but its just what it is. The walls in the room were dirty, they were painted white and had a lot of black stuff and hand marks on them. They were very obvious and the room really needed a good cleaning. The bathroom was a nice with a spacious rain shower, and the bath soaps were all top notch. Wolfgang's Steakhouse is downstairs and although it is very pricey they have a great selection of food and booze. They provide the room service and the breakfast was great. Overall the place just needs a coat of paint and some love, wouldn't hurt to check the sound proofing either, the noise of midtown was pretty loud in the morning. We were there on the weekend too, Im sure its much worse during the week.
