Nice, quiet room on 19th floor with little balcony as well as a shared balcony on the opposite side of elevator core. Location was convenient to everything I needed to do. Would definitely consider staying here for personal NYC visits in the future.

The young reception staff were very welcoming (Mustafa in particular advised us regarding places to visit), plus Robert (who organised our excellent transport to the airport) and also Shaun. The guys at reception were always friendly and helpful. We were given a very welcome bottle of Prosecco as it was our Wedding Anniversary! Due to some negative "construction noise" reviews on Trip Adviser, we had asked for a quiet room on a high floor (got the 15th floor). Had a large superior room with a balcony, which we did not actually use, as our room was at the back of the hotel and there was a view of buildings. At first we found the air conditioning unit a little noisy, but we got used to it after the first night there and slept really well throughout our holiday. Huge, really comfortable bed. Room and bathroom very clean, serviced daily. Shower really effective. Molton Brown mini products available. Restaurant and coffee shops close by. Would definitely stay at The Gotham again - the hotel is so well placed for all of the sights - near to Grand Central Station, Rockefeller, Chrysler, etc.

I booked a room with "Martin" in Midtown Manhattan through Airbnb and arrived 7:00pm at the provided address to find it was a hotel and that it was booked solid. Mustafa was on the hotel desk and not only did he call multiple hotels for me but found me a great deal at the Dylan Hotel 4 blocks away. He told me this "Martin" had done this before. Mustafa was wonderful and kind and gave me his card and said if I came back to NYC to email him at the Gotham and he would get me a reservation at the Gotham. He was concerned not only for me but also for the Gotham's reputation. He and the Gotham doorman were welcoming and so kind - they rock! When I reported "Martin" to Airbnb, Karl got me a refund and a future credit.

The hotel is well located and the staff are all friendly. I was also pleasantly surprised by the size of the room with a good size balcony. My only criticism, which isn't the hotels fault, is the building work across the street which overlooked my room. The banging starts at about 6am which wasn't the most relaxing start to my holiday. I would recommend getting a room on the other side of the hotel if possible.

Hotel is located in a great position, a few blocks from Times Square with easy access to 5th avenue shops. Stylish hotel, great artwork in their foyers (drawings of local attractions like the Brooklyn Bridge, Central Park, etc). Lovely staff who were really helpful and always cheerful. I had one of their superior rooms with a terrace - very roomy and comfortable. Terrace looked down 46th street. Hotel attached to a Wolfgang Puck Restaurant.
