Like all midtown hotels, the Gotham is noisy. There is a bar behind the lobby that echoes past the check-in desk, where they try to drown out the noise with music of their own. The rooms are large, but sparse. Would it have killed to have.a chair? Clean, but a little banged-up. Neither luxury nor budget, this is the lodging equivalent of a five-year old Lexus.

Pixie and Brandon were outstanding and are a credit to the hotel. They truly know the essence of great hospitality. The bar is also a great NY secret

We loved the location! The balcony room on 11th floor had a lot of road noise but didn’t affect our sleep. The mattress was not comfortable - which is very unusual for a place of this price. I’m not sure if I would stay here again due to the bed. We did not eat at the Reading room. We loved Maman bakery, a short walk away.

This boutique hotel is a true gem 💎 I was so pleasantly surprised, the location is PERFECT, between 5th and Madison in a street where is not busy, above the Bryant park, everything is within walking distance. The service is outstanding, specially Ilda who made us feel like at home. Rooms are very good size for NYC with everything you need, and a balcony is a treasure (specialy for smokers). They also have a very good restaurant with high quality food for good prices. Highly recommend this beautiful hotel!

We didn’t stay at the Hotel we had dinner at the restaurant The Reading Room. I cannot locate the restaurant on Trip Advisor. I am celiac and the restaurant offered gluten free food items. The burger and hand cut fries are DELICIOUS!!!! The Prosecco was also delightful !
