Gotham Hotel

I stayed overnight at The Gotham Hotel on a quick trip to see friends. It was a terrific experience. The location was safe, and perfect for walking from way uptown to way downtown to a show near Times Square. They upgraded me to the Gotham Suite - so elegant, comfortable, roomy, and full of light. The food at the popular bar/lounge was tasty. The staff were nice and super helpful. i particularly appreciated Ilda, Srdjah, and Noel. Thanks everyone!

We stayed 6 days @ the Gotham, where we enjoyed above all our spacious room with a back balcony and a huge shared terrace in the front (we were on 19th floor), where smoking is allowed, which was the reason of our booking. Well situated off Park Avenue and in walking distance to Central Station, Times Square and Central Park. Metro stations, restaurants and shops are near the hotel. The beds are super comfy, the clean and quiet room has all amenities, the house keeping is super efficient and discrete. We got a 10 $ / day mini bar gratuity, which was nice. The most amazing however is the service, professional, friendly and always responding to your requests or questions. You feel taken care off, thanks to the great staff, among many: Ilda, Olsi, Vuk...The owner should be proud having created such a perfect team.

Location is the best - just down from 5th Avenue, 5 minute walk from Times Square. Room was comfortable, reception was helpful - couldn't fault it during our stay

We had a wonderful room, spacious with plenty of storage. Very clean and quiet. Friendly and helpful staff. Didn’t go to the bar or restaurant, but it was always busy. The location was perfect, a short walk to so many sights and Grand Central Station.

My husband and I stayed here July 2025 in order to use our The Guestbook funds. We had not heard of the hotel before, but it had great reviews, so we decided to give it a try and glad we did! We checked in at midnight after a 12-hour travel day packed with delays and storms. The receptionist was amazing! He was friendly, took his time helping us regarding late check out and such. The room was extremely spacious for a NYC boutique hotel. Clean and very nice decor. Bathroom shower was huge with a rain shower and nice luxury handle to use which is handy if you have kids. Floor to ceiling windows that bring in a ton of light but also have blackout and privacy shades if needed. Bed was comfortable but the pillows OMG like sleeping on clouds!! I had to work while here and the internet was surprisingly extremely fast. I had no issues at all! The restaurant inside the hotel was amazing! The food was fresh, hot and fast. great options to choose from. Full bar as well. Nice small cozy atmosphere. Staff there were friendly and did a great job. As we were walking through the hotel, we had run into Shaun who was very gracious with offering to help with anything we needed, same with housekeeping, very generous and offered their help with anything we needed. They were quick to give extra towels with no issues. Doorman Olsi was a breath of fresh air. He is the first person you see when you arrive and always has a smile on his face and is quick to help. Amazing personality and conversation. All in all, the hotel staff all went out of their way to make us feel welcome, at home and comfortable. The hotel is in walking distance to Grand Central which makes it easy to get to anywhere. There are tons of things to do within walking distance as well. We will definitely be staying at this hotel again and highly recommend to others!
