The Gotham Hotel is a great boutique style hotel, the staff are friendly and helpful. Mustafa checked us in on the day we arrived and was very pleasant to deal with. We had a room on the 20th floor and it suited our needs precisely. As tourists, we spend very little time in our room, and this was exactly what we needed. It is close enough to Times Square and the East River for local sight seeing. We really enjoyed the shared balcony during the evening and morning times, and the view up 46th street is great. The hotel arranged a car to take us to JFK on the day of our departure and we had no problems at all during our stay there. Overall it was a great hotel experience.

When we arrived Christian was very professional and took care of us... Mustafa checked us in and they set us up with a bottle of prosecco which was very nice upon our rerurn from parking the car nearby. We got the penthouse with 2 balconies... well it's cute but a pretty small space. Thank God for the balcony w some view of the city. The other balcony is a public one for any hotel guests which we later found out. I thought it was private since they claimed "u have the whole floor..." NOT so. 2 ladies almost walked into our room and the linen closet is right next door and kept unlocked... creepy... anyone can hide in there since people have access to ur floor via stairs or elevator. Inside the penthouse the leather sofa and black leather chair are quite uncomfortable. We stayed for the weekend and wud have been nice to not just have to lay in bed to watch after roaming the city. The air conditioning was another. U can't control it. It's either too cold or too hot lol! We had to call front desk for the remote for the tv/cable which they promptly brought. There was some construction noise going on late in the evening as they are renovating. For the amount of money... shuda stayed @ the Bryant park hotel.

The Gotham Hotel is a great boutique style hotel. The staff is great. Very Friendly, pleasant and helpful The rooms are updated and very modern in style. Rooms could have better lighting. too dark for us The bed was large King. However for us it was way too soft and sunk on both sides But overall we enjoyed our stay and the location Nespresso Coffee in room. But Dunkin Donuts is just 2 doors down Air conditioner worked well for us we asked for back room and it was quiet but a view of walls and no sunlight

This hotel is amazing for the price. It's at a great location and everything is within walking distance (train, touristy areas, etc.) I called the hotel to make my reservation and the agent who helped me, Tony, was really great. After booking my room, he gave me suggestions for which Broadway shows to watch, where to go and what to eat. On the day of arrival, I called to let them know I would be late and Andrew reassured that I would be fine. Everyone on staff is very nice and respectful. As for the room itself, the balcony was amazing. The mini bar had just what I needed and more.

We visited over Memorial Day weekend for our anniversary. This hotel is in an excellent location. It was very clean and the staff were very nice. Our room was on the 18th floor. It was extremely small and made me feel claustrophobic, but we did have a balcony so that helped tremendously. My only complaint is related to the parking. The hotel has a deal with a garage down the street. When we arrived the attendant at the garage asked us approximately what time we would be back. We gave a time, which was a little over 24 hours later. When we went to the hotel to leave our bags (it was too early to check in) we told them the same thing. When we went to pay at the a garage the next day we expected to pay the $40 that we were told by hotel that we would pay, but instead it was $80 because it was over 24 hours. No one ever mentioned that the parking was only for 24 hours. In retrospect it was our own fault, but it seemed shady to us that neither the hotel or garage made note of the rate only being for 24 hours (we were there for about 26 hours).
