Park Lane Hotel

The view and location were wonderful However, Air Conditioning not switched on and not working Hotel said they hadn’t turned it on yet. Sent 2 engineers Room stayed at 77-80 the whole time We were given $300 compensation for the 7 nights No coffee machine despite it being advertised When I asked I was told I would be charged $35 a day for 5 pods They did provide a kettle on request. Very little lighting in room. One over lobby and 3 lamps. Light behind bed didn’t work. Engineer said they can’t fix them. The first room we had was supposed to have a bath and a shower but no bath. They moved us after 2 days to a room with 2 queen beds and a bath. The Bath was far too low. About 12 inches off floor. Impossible to get in or out of - see pictures. It was around $700 a night excluding breakfast. We enjoyed the stay but the room facilities were not what we expected.

This weekend, I was unfortunately in one of the rooms with broken ac. I was switched to another room, albeit the new room didn’t appear as nice and the ac was broken in that one as well. The staff was as accommodating as possible; however I didn’t feel as though I was adequately compensated for the mishap. Especially given the cost of the room. I enjoy staying near Central Park and unfortunately I’m unlikely to give this hotel another chance

I recently stayed at Park Lane Hotel from April 24th to April 27th. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. The air conditioning in my room was not working, and the temperature remained uncomfortably high between 78–80°F throughout my stay. It is unacceptable that the hotel did not inform guests in advance about the AC issues. Had I known, I would have chosen a different hotel. Guests deserve transparency, especially when a major amenity like air conditioning is unavailable. It feels as though the hotel prioritized making money over ensuring guest comfort and satisfaction. I expected better communication and service from a hotel of this reputation.

Fabulous hotel. Perfect location. Staff is the best we have ever experienced at any hotel stay. Nice room, nothing fancy, everything we needed. Great room service. Anything we needed appeared in a flash from a friendly and welcoming staff member. Elevators get really backed up at 11 a.m. checkout time, bring patience.

Tom and K are the best bartenders ever! Friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. But what’s up with the bar always being out of Chardonnay? I was here seven times last year nd they were out of Chardonnay at least twice. And now they are out again?????
