Langham Place, New York, Fifth Avenue in New York City, New York

Anyone who frequents New York knows this frustrating oxymoron: The Big Apple is infamous for its absurdly small hotel rooms. That’s why Langham Place, New York, Fifth Avenue is such a breath of fresh air. Dressed in light beiges with Italian walnut and rosewood accents, Pratesi linens, an in-room Nespresso machine and skyline views, the rooms at Langham Place are some of the biggest in Manhattan.

After a cup of coffee and a New York bagel, head west to the High Line, an elevated park built on an abandoned train track that runs from 34th Street to the West Village. Peer into über-modern high rises, spy works of art, and descend to the bustling street level whenever you’d like to explore. Stock up on edible delicacies at Chelsea Market and keep walking south to the quiet, leafy streets of the West Village. Take in some iconic sites back uptown if that’s on your agenda before dining on butter-poached Nova Scotia lobster at Michelin-starred Al Fiori back at the hotel.

Came into the city for business and stayed two nights. From arrival to departure, we were treated amazingly well. Upon arriving after our first day, we received a plate of chocolates with a welcome note thanking us for staying there. The room was incredible, all members of the team were on their A game. I will only stay there going forward.

The staff and accommodations were wonderful. The staff was very helpful and made us feel at home. They allowed us to check in early so that we would have a place to put our bags while we toured around NY. The room was clean and had a incredible view of NY. The location was great. I will definitely be back.

The Langham is in an ideal location to get everywhere easily in Manhattan. The hotel itself is beautiful and our room was amazing - spacious with a large bathroom and a dressing area. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the free coffee and snacks were very welcome after a long day! Free internet is also worth a mention. The bar is lovely but does get crowded with the after work groups, but understandable given the surroundings. Highly recommend.

From check-in to departure, this was a most impressive stay. Room (junior suite) was spacious and comfortable. Superlative service throughout. Doormen are among the friendliest in Manhattan, and front desk agents could not have been more accomodating or gracious. The phrase that comes to mind is "quiet luxury." For the quality of the room and service, I felt the room rate was very fair. Midtown location is a bit bland, but central and extremely convenient. A short walk to both the Lexington and west side subway lines, and a straight shot to the midtown tunnel if you're flying JFK or LGA. I would absolutely return.
