Reviews for The Marmara Park Avenue
Just ended a wonderful stay at the Marmara. Very chic & trendy - beautifully designed. Our room was amazing and the service amazing - nothing was too much trouble. Christopher (in particular) was so helpful. We used the small pool for a few laps and really enjoyed relaxing & soothing our aching muscles in the hamman. The hotel is very well situated and we walked or took a quick hop on the subway to our various destinations. Thoroughly recommend.
Although the size of our room was small, it was very comfortable and inviting. The bed reminded me of my bed at home because it has a down feeling comforter. The hotel boasts of allergy free bedding though so it may not have been actual down. I used the spa and had one of the best massages I have ever had. The personal trainer was skilled as well. He recommended some great stretching exercises. The concierge was friendly. My only complaint was that the elevator has trouble going to the 14th floor. This was a pain as we had to wait for the second elevator; a minor inconvenience, but they should consider fixing that problem. The hotel has a bar with excellent service. I would definitely stay at this location again.

Our room had lovely views and was very clean and nicely decorated. The beds were comfortable with nice sheets. The downside for me was la k of any counter in bathroom to put toiletries or make up and poor lighting in room. There was lighting for reading but not for rest of room making it hard to locate clothing. There is also dim lighting in hallways which may be for either ambiance or to save energy, but I would have liked brighter hallways as well. The lobby has large windows, and is very comfortable . Nice bar and happy hour snacks that were pleasant after long day of walking. Location is convenient for seeing city.

This 5 star hotel was located near the Empire state building. Our room, on the 14th floor, had a great view on the Empire State. The king size bed was very confortable and clean, but without the service of a 5 star hotel (for example, nobody took us to our room nor carried our luggage...) The swimming pool was small, but enjoyable after a day of walking. Contrariwise, the steam bath did not work... The staff was nice and professional. In conclusion, it is a good hotel in Manhattan, but not a real 5-star hotel on my mind ;)
