Reviews for The Michelangelo Hotel

A perfect home in the city

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

This hotel is a gem. The location is terrific and it is so comfortable. The staff goes above and beyond. The doormen, Edwin and Teodoro, were great. Always happy to see us and making us feel welcome. This hotel is close to the theater district and all the subway lines. We’ve stayed many places in New York and this is by far our favorite.

NYC fall break

Wonderful family hotel. Clean and central to everything and well started. Lobby and the hallways felt very safe at night.

Disappointed.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

Older hotel with charm. Bathroom needed updating, frayed curtains in bedroom. Biggest complaint was breakfast. Really a lounge area, with the world's most uncomfortable chairs and table. Food good 2 out of three days. Waitstaff very busy. A small glitch with a bill but was taken care of quickly. Good location for the theater district.

NYC Michaelangelo Hotel

Very quiet hotel, with old time ambiance in a great location. We had the breakfast option with the room and the service and food was consistently excellent. Front desk (Walter) and Gina (bar staff) as well as the entire breakfast staff were outstanding. Thank you!!

Thank you for a truly beautiful 16-hour stay. The Michelangelo staff was exceptional—professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming.

The food was excellent as well. I had friends join me for dinner, which was delightful, and I managed to enjoy a quick breakfast before my early departure.

I was especially delighted by the unexpected upgrade—what a wonderful surprise! My only regret was that my visit was too short. To fix that, I’ll be returning very soon, and I’m already looking forward to another memorable experience.
