This hotel is a mixed bag. The rooms are reasonably generous in size (and I was in a smaller one) and beds very comfortable. Breakfast was also good, as is the central location. The downside is the fact it is a bit tired with dated decor. As with so many New York hotels, it is very close to its neighbors so there is limited light or views in side rooms.

Great service, from everyone. Always helping, smiling, supporting. Great location. Clean, spacious rooms. Relaxed, although the very central location. A great pleasure. Will be back for sure.

An excellent place to stay close to Times Square, Broadway Shows, and so much more. The staff is phenomenal in how they welcomed on served us during our entire stay. This hotel is a great value with spacious, clean, and well furnished rooms. The atmosphere is old-style New York in a very good way. It was never hectic in the hotel lobby, and they provided multiple layers of light-blocking curtains to banish the Times Square neon from the room. Highly recommend for a great and reasonably priced locations near key attractions.

From the minute we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by the friendliness doorman ever. The front desk clerk Walter F. was helpful. Since our room wasn’t ready he suggested a nice pastry shop across the street for lunch. Every staff member we encountered was kind, courteous and attentive. The room surprised us as how clean, nice and spacious it was. Such an unusual experience in Manhattan. A lot of good places to eat and visit. A great place to stay in the theater district. I would definitely recommend it.

We stayed at this hotel for my birthday trip and from the moment we got there the staff was amazing. The bellman Edwin was great with helping with the bags and getting us a taxi on the morning we left even though there was a marathon blocking off roads the staff walked all the way to 6th street to help us get a taxi. The concierge put in a request for complementary champagne and desserts to be sent our first night wish was a great way to start our weekend. Would definitely stay again if we come back to New York for the service and location for the price we paid.

Thank you for a truly beautiful 16-hour stay. The Michelangelo staff was exceptional—professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming.
The food was excellent as well. I had friends join me for dinner, which was delightful, and I managed to enjoy a quick breakfast before my early departure.
I was especially delighted by the unexpected upgrade—what a wonderful surprise! My only regret was that my visit was too short. To fix that, I’ll be returning very soon, and I’m already looking forward to another memorable experience.
