The Michelangelo Hotel

A lovely hotel in a great location. Despite the busy area, the rooms are very quiet because it's an older building. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The staff is very warm and helpful and most have a long tenure at the property. Highly recommended.

Our stay at The Michelangelo Hotel in New York City was nothing short of outstanding! From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, everything was absolutely perfect. What truly sets this hotel apart is its incredible staff. Every single person we encountered was exceptionally friendly, welcoming, professional, and genuinely eager to help. They went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Their kindness and willingness to assist us made us feel truly welcome and appreciated. That level of hospitality is something special, and it deserves recognition. Our room was absolutely amazing! Beautiful, spacious, impeccably clean, and incredibly quiet, something we especially appreciated in a vibrant city like New York. After a busy day exploring Manhattan, returning to such a peaceful and comfortable room was a real pleasure. Everything about our experience reflected the highest standards of hospitality, cleanliness, and guest care. The Michelangelo isn’t just a wonderful hotel, it’s a place where you genuinely feel taken care of. We have stayed in many hotels, but this experience was truly memorable. We couldn’t have asked for anything better. A heartfelt thank you to the entire Michelangelo team for making our time in New York so special. Would we stay here again? Absolutely, without a second thought! Would we recommend it? One hundred percent! Five stars simply aren’t enough!

This is an older hotel that's starting to show the wear and tear. It has a gilded interior with most staff still wearing formal uniforms like it is 1956. The rooms are sizable and well-appointed, but the sink faucet ran non-stop and the bed was mushy and uncomfortable. We told staff about the sink and, well, nothing happened. Oh, and the coffee is $8 a cup. That's steep even by Manhattan standards. Yet, the location is hard to beat and everyone we encountered was nice, polite, and helpful. So, take the good either the bad? That's the choice they offer.

Location is everything to this hotel - less than a block to a few blocks away from Fifth Avenue, Rockefeller, Starbucks, Pret A Manger, Times Square, Ichiran Ramen, Din Tai Fung, subway lines. The hotel design is vintage, classic Italian. The room is classic, clean, comfortable. A/C temperature is adjustable and controllable. Lighting in the room is comfortable. Bed is nice. The bathroom comes with a bathtub - nice water pressure and temperature. Staff is friendly. I highly recommend this hotel.
