We make an annual pilgrimage to Broadway - arrive on Friday leave Sunday late afternoon. In the short time span we attend two evening Broadway Shows and two Matinees. The place to stay is always the Michelangelo. We have both small rooms for me and the wife and suites for us and the two adult daughters. We have never had a bad experience. I know Edwin the Bellman doesn't remember us but he always acts as if he does. We remember him. From the first staff member you meet to the last, you will find friendly people trying to make your stay exceptional.

Such friendly staff, such spacious rooms, and near to all the tourist attractions yet still removed to a space of peace and quiet. We really enjoyed our time. Edwin the Bellman was a great help and the front desk staff are simply the best!

We stayed in a Grand Suite for our wedding trip to NYC last week. The staff were all very friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. The room was great - very large, with a comfortable bed and plenty of space. Some of the fixtures were in need of updating and the air conditioning unit was pretty noisy. However, this is definitely reflected in the price, as it was great value for the size of room in NYC. The windows were very dirty which was a shame, as it’s always nice to do some people watching out of the window, and there was significant noise outside at night. However, neither of these things impacted our enjoyment and the noise is the price you pay for such a central location. Overall, we were very happy with our stay at the Michelangelo and would definitely return.

We stayed here for our 30th Wedding anniversary to be close to Le Bernardin and Fifth Avenue shopping. Upon arrival, we were immediately ushered in by Henry, who provided impeccable, old-world service for our whole stay. Our floor and room were newly refurbished and richly appointed. Very cozy vibes. The location was perfect. Staff extremely friendly. Highly recommend for a NYC stay where you will be busy and need quiet luxury with good people like Henry to take care of you.

This is my second review of The Michelangelo. Last was in 2022. Just returned from a week long stay. Again, we had an excellent experience. Upgraded this trip to a grand suite, with lots of space and two bathrooms. Hotel is kind of old school, which I like. Very well staffed with front desk personnel, bellmen and doormen. Recognized one doorman, Henry, from our previous trip. Evidently he's been there for years and is an excellent ambassador for the hotel.

Thank you for a truly beautiful 16-hour stay. The Michelangelo staff was exceptional—professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming.
The food was excellent as well. I had friends join me for dinner, which was delightful, and I managed to enjoy a quick breakfast before my early departure.
I was especially delighted by the unexpected upgrade—what a wonderful surprise! My only regret was that my visit was too short. To fix that, I’ll be returning very soon, and I’m already looking forward to another memorable experience.
