This gem shines brightly in the heart of the Times Square/Broadway area. Reasonably priced rooms that are well maintined.

Great Stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

I stayed in this hotel for the first time. The location was excellent for site-seeing and theater, which was our main goal. I traveled with my mom and sister. Originally reserved a 2 King Bed room, but these were oversold, so we were upgraded to a Grand Suite, which was incredible! It was even more helpful as my mom is in a wheelchair. All of the staff were kind and so helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Quiet and a great location.

Nice hotel in great location. Spacious and quiet room with comfortable beds and helpful lobby staff. Near Rockefeller Center and theatres/Times Square. Was here decades ago when it was the Taft and I got a kick out of display case featuring former venue’s artifacts/photos.

It was a comfortable stay. Quiet room. Perfect location close to Central Park and Times Square. Older hotel but comfy with a bar and live music. The air conditioner worked great! The doorman was excellent snd extremely helpful in getting our cabs and getting us to our scheduled appointments.

A Perfect Stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

I went to NYC to see the plays, Merrily We Roll Along, Cabaret and Sweeney Todd: staying at The Michealangelo made those theatres an pleasant walk; no traffic hassels and fun people-watchin along the way. My suite was rich in architectural details and the rooms really are soundproof: I slept like a baby when I wasn't out enjoying the city. The staff were friendly and very, very helpful.
