Reviews for Omni Berkshire Place Hotel

Great stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 12 hours ago

Great location, walking distance to central park, times square and many restaurants and shops. This hotel is lovely, clean and has an air of elegance. There is a bar/restaurant open for breakfast and dinner that while nice, is quite pricey for breakfast. Cocktails are comparable to other bars in NYC.

Spend your money elsewhere; old place, zero customer service; horrible breakfast

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

The Omn hotel customer service is awful. And if you expect to have a nice breakfast in a pleasant enviornment, you are in for a more than a dismay. The waiter is not trained, and coffee is awful and cold; And the Indian guy who takes the orders clearly does not want to work, even though he had been working for decades. And you spend over 30 dollars for a couple of eggs and two pieces of toast and lousy coffee! And the whole dining place is dark, dingy, and unwelcoming. The unwelcoming coldness of the place is matched by unwelcoming and aloof coldness of the staff who have zero interest in customer satisfaction. Spend your money elsewhere.

Perfect place @52nd and Madison

A wonderful stay with consistently great service by the entire staff. Every time I visit. Select member guest coffee or hot cocoa delivery at 615am or whatever time I request is my favorite treat - with a knock at the door and a tray for me to retrieve! Quiet comfortable rooms offer a great oasis during a busy work week. The staff is second to none. I highly recommend it.

Wonderful stay

Everything was wonderful — from the welcome to drinks at the bar to the room to breakfast. Loved our stay and the Omni staff was top notch

No amenities and poor security mean a new hotel is necessary when I am back in town.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

There are no amenities in the room. No coffee maker. No menus. No list of dining options at the hotel. Just a room that was clean and in very good condition. In the middle of the night someone opened the door to my room. I had put the security lock on the door, and the door slammed shut. The noise woke me. It was not someone trying to unlock the door with the wrong room key. I say someone at the door who then walked away. I went back to bed glad that I am security conscious and always use caution. A few minutes later there was a knock on the door and the person on the other side said they were maintenance. I told them through the unopened door that this was my room. I checked with the front desk twice to see if they learned anything, but I never heard any response. Either they accidentally gave someone a key to my occupied room, or someone was trying to break in. Either way, it tells me that their security and procedures are inadequate. Don't think I will be going back, even as this hotel is the most convenient to my NYC office.
