I already knew The Surrey from dining in the restaurant, meeting friends for drinks in the swanky lobby bar and visiting the spa. So it was no surprise that I felt right at home there. But anyone would, really. The Surrey strikes just the right balance between old school luxury and contemporary style. Crisp linens, a beautiful marble bath, Pratesi robes - you get the picture - but current and chic. Best of all, you'll be staying in a serene neighborhood a block away from Central Park, on top of a restaurant by Chef Daniel Boulud, one of the city's best.

This is the second time staying here In the last year and there is a noticeable change. Last time greeted with complimentary champagne and every member of the staff extended themselves very cordially. It seems the culture at the Surrey has changed. The politeness and attention by the staff is no longer present. We stayed in a suite which very nice and spacious. There is a surcharge for everything - including internet and music. When spending over a thousand dollars per night to stay, one would expect these things to be offered gratis. It was not exorbitant But quite annoying. I might stay again, but the Surry will not be my first choice.

This is an amazing boutique hotel in an ideal location in the heart of NYC. The rooms are exceptionally clean---the housekeeping staff is extremely attentive. Each evening, there is a refreshing turndown service. Bathrooms and beds are clean to perfection. Rooms are spacious and modern. The location is ideal, right at Central Park. I would strongly recommend this hotel property and look forward to returning on subsequent trips to NYC.
