We continue to enjoy our accommodations at the Surrey. The location next to the park and upper East Side restaurants is perfect and our rooms are large and comfortable. It can be pricey, but many off season deals are available. Don't miss breakfasts as Cafe Baloud.

The Surrey is a "right sized" hotel. Not too big,not too small. The rooms are opulent and fresh, decorated in a classic decor. The bathrooms are rich and feature shower heads that are like fire hoses, its hard to stop showering its so good. The gem of a hotel bar is just the right amount of dark and private, with seating you could sit in and say"just one more for the road". The neighbor hood is great as well, and easy access to the park.

This small hotel is a gem near the shops on Madison Avenue. My daughter and I stayed at the Surrey while we were wedding dress shopping in New York. The room was a nice size for the two of us, and the hotel has great amenities, including the restaurant downstairs, Cafe Boulud, where we had drinks and appetizers, as well as a delicious breakfast. The service is exceptional -- great staff. And the location was perfect for us. Close to the shops, museums, restaurants...

unsatisfactory....surprised they qualify for Relaix Chateaux. Would not recommend this hotel. It has a reputation that is a mystery based on our recent experience. There are much better choices through the city.
