The Towers at Lotte New York Palace in New York City, New York

The Towers at The New York Palace is a Madison Avenue institution. Built by a well-known railroad financier in 1882, the private mansion was modeled after the Palazzo della Cancelleria in Rome. It became The Helmsley Palace Hotel, later run by infamous Leona Helmsley and purchased by the Sultan of Brunei. A 2013 renovation melded modern touches into classically styled rooms, many of which have views of St. Patrick’s Cathedral and the Manhattan skyline. Residential-style Tower Suites are a favorite among well-heeled travelers and celeb sightings are frequent, especially when Gossip Girl films here several days each month.

Order a grand breakfast to be delivered to your suite as you watch the sun rise over the East River. Call on the house car, a Mercedes GL350 or a Maybach, to chauffeur you to shopping destinations across Midtown. Retire to Trouble’s Trust, a swanky bar with red lacquer walls under the lobby’s grand staircase, and sip a “Queen of Mean” cocktail, a cheeky homage to Leona Helmsley and her dog, Trouble.

The rooms in the Tower are large and bright with a great view. Hotel is walking distance to Rockefeller Center, Saks 5th Avenue and Central Park and overlooks St Patrick's Cathedral. Don't miss the complementary Champagne and Chocolates with Clara, the page, at the Towers. Has a gym and free WiFi. Breakfast is fabulous!! Would highly recommend it. This is our second stay and will definitely return.

The hotel has an A-location and close to the shops of Madison avenue. Big, clean rooms with a great design. The staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. This was my first experience in this hotel, but it won't be my last. Great restaurant also.

I cannot say enough great things about Lotte, it exudes the old grandeur of New York! We chose the Lotte for it’s location as we were spending Easter weekend in the city to sightsee and visit museums with our two children. The hotel is just steps away from St Pats, American Girl, Rockefeller Center, shopping on 5th avenue. The hotel was beautiful, amazing views, quiet location and rooms were nicely appointed and spacious (especially for NY) They even provided me with an extra cot which fit comfortably in the room. The hotel was very kid friendly, the staff greeted my kids at check-in with a fun presentation with a crown and tiara. The concierge had organized crafts and a fun easter egg hunt in the pretty courtyard all decorated with fragrant flowers. But the best part of our stay was I mentioned it was my son’s birthday and our anniversary. The amazing guest experiences team had surprised us with balloons, a lego toy, a delicious cake and other goodies to us in our room. Jairis made our stay in NY super special and my kids never want to stay anywhere else in NY (sorry Essex House!) And do have breakfast at Villard, the food was delicious and it’s a beautiful room that you must enjoy with one of their signature cocktails or bloody mary. This hotel will not disappoint and it’s so pretty. I will definitely be back! If you’re looking for a hotel for that special trip in New York or even a quick stay, the Lotte is the perfect place.

Plus the hotel is excellent with great staff. Our experience here was one of our best in NYC, and we commend it to you. I am especially thankful that they run great online specials, so be sure to check your favorite sites first.
