The Dominick Hotel

My 3rd visit in 6 months and the lifts don’t work each time. Average 10 mins wait time to get to lobby is ridiculous, especially for the premium the hotel charges on hotel nights

Hotel room was not clean, food on the carpets…outlets by bed did not work…elevators took TWENTY MINUTES to arrive every single time…for what I paid for a suite I was horrified.

Had a great experience in June 2025, so stayed here again in May 2026. What a difference a year makes. The service remains excellent - doormen, valet, front desk, housekeeping - all very friendly and helpful. The rest of the experience has degraded for the price of a stay here: We were greeted by a mob of people waiting for the elevator - the elevator lobby is very tight and there are only four elevators (in a 40+ floor building) so when 1-2 elevators are out of service, as they were for the 4 days we were there, it makes for long waits to go up or down, and a mashup on the ground floor. Small maintenance issues in the room detracted from the experience, from a loose robe hook that threatened to fall off the bathroom door, to missing finials on the lamps and one of the two powered window shades out of service. In the fitness room, two of the three peloton bikes needed repair. Basically, a lot of things falling apart, ranging from small to big. The ground floor restaurant, Serafina, closed since I was last there and is just an empty space now, which is a bit depressing. Too bad since the food was excellent. Finally, we stopped at one point for an espresso at the casual 7th floor counter-service restaurant. $9 each - outrageous for an espresso, even in NYC. But the financial insults weren't over yet. Upon checkout, we were billed $49/day for a "Desination Fee". This is a totally B.S. fee that covers things like a small bottle of water, WiFi, and other things you would expect for free. We were not informed about the fee upon check-in, so it leaves a bad taste in your mouth as you leave the establishment. Sadly, we won't be coming back.

EXCLLENT!! I highly recommend this hotel! 5 STARS! We normally stay closer to Times Square. We will never stay near Times Square again. We love this area of Manhattan.

We love this hotel. It has the best views and excellent service. Everyone of the staff we encountered was awesome.
