I have been going to the hotel for several years and several times a year, front door excellent people, valet, excellent people, front desk superb, housekeeping excellent people. You might be asking then why are you giving a poor experience, well it is because of the amenities charges. For things that I never asked for nor use. Coffee machine in the room, I have never ever liked the nespresso machine, water, I always bring my own water. Gym, don't use it for I have a very bad knee, swimming pool, don't use it. Yet I am subsidizing the people who use those things. If I use the gym, then please charge me, if I use the coffee (which I never do) then please charge me, charge me for what I use. WIfi, you present it as "amenitees PROVIDED, but never mention that you are paying for them. Pretty soon am sure they will include elevator (the new system stinks imo, takes too long). If those charges are going to the staff, then I have zero problem, yet am sure the staff doesn't see a dime of the money. This is just a warning of all the extras that you will be paying for.

We booked a Hudson Square two-bedroom for our family through AMEX Fine Hotels & Resorts, and were placed on the 15th floor. (Unfortunately we were told we had been upgraded as an Amex amenity when we asked at check-in, only to later learn that the floor we were on is not actually the higher category, so that was a failure). The living area of the suite was spacious, as were the bedrooms and bathrooms, particularly for New York. For breakfasts, we found the in-room dining food preparation to be tastier than at the Mezzanine, though one day they missed the order we'd placed the night before which caused us to be late the next morning. Another problem was that one of the sinks did not work, and while they sent engineering multiple times, we were told to just make do with one sink, and finally told six nights into our eight night stay that either we'd have to move rooms or just deal with it. Having pointed out these issues, almost every one we came across from the bellmen to the front desk to the housekeeping staff to be very nice and genuinely kind. The hotel is in a great location (though loud on the 15th floor from all of the tunnel traffic). We really did enjoy our stay and hope that they'll resolve the issues I pointed out above to improve a great hotel at a great location.

I had a great stay at The Dominick recently! The hotel is beautiful—super clean, great amenities, and in a great location. But what really stood out was the customer service, especially from Daniel at the front desk. He was so friendly and helpful from the moment I checked in. Made the whole process easy and welcoming. He really cares about making sure guests have a great experience. I will definitely be coming back to the Dominick!

Excellent hotel but it charges a rip off $49 a night fees (plus tax's) - this is a mandatory charge on top of the room cost we had paid upfront - if it is a mandatory charge why is it not included in the headline room rate ? We stayed 5 nights so the extra junk fee mandatory costs including additional tax's came to over $300 - BE WARNED ON THIS RIOP OFF MANDITORY EXTRA ROOM FEE -

Marlene at the front desk provided the BEST customer service! She was not only knowledgeable but personable and made our stay very enjoyable and special. I hope the CEO and President of this company takes time to find Marlene as she exemplifies 5 star service! Thank you Marlene!
