Ideal one week stay

Excellent service, kind staff. Ideal location near the ACE subway line, with a Trader Joe's and CVS less than a minute walk away. Highly recommended for any trip to the city.

Suite is not what it seems.

It saddens us to write this because we’ve developed such a good rapport with some of the key staff over the year (e.g. Chris bellhop). I am deeply disappointed with our most recent stay at The Dominick Hotel. This is my wife’s and my fifth stay here this year, and we chose the property for Christmas with our family, our children’s first time in New York. We booked well in advance through AMEX Fine Hotels and Resorts, emailed our itinerary, and confirmed all three children would be staying. Upon arrival, we were initially told there was no record of our emails, though they were later found. More concerning, the “two bedroom suite” we booked is not a true two bedroom suite but two connected rooms, a distinction not disclosed on the AMEX Travel listing. The initial solution was presented by a front desk representative, not a manager, offering us a true two bedroom suite at an additional $6,000, effectively doubling the cost of our stay. We asked to speak with a manager and waited over 30 minutes. When the manager, Hector, finally came out, he offered no alternative resolution and instead placed full blame on AMEX, stating they are fully aware the accommodation is a connecting room and need to update their listing. Given the holidays and having no realistic alternatives with our family in town, we were put in an unreasonable position. This experience falls well short of expectations for a property of this caliber and its partnership with AMEX Fine Hotels and Resorts. Again, we caution you all, be very wary when you book a “two-bedroom suite” with The Dominick.

Five Star and Family Friendly

We had such a great stay at The Dominick! We were nervous to take our almost two year old and 3.5 year old to New York City at Christmas but the staff at The Dominick made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable from a complimentary refrigerator to umbrellas and even strollers. The twice a day room service and towel refresh as well as turn down service and welcome treats really made our stay memorable as well! Our children loved the singing Christmas snow globe toys that lit up and were handed to us at check-in! We loved the neighborhood and of course the amazing view from our Sohi King Room! We already can’t wait to come back!

Fantastic stay at The Dominick

Our stay at The Dominick was fantastic. The location is perfect. Close to the subway as well as walking distance to so many great neighborhoods and shopping areas. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and inviting. Every staff member we encountered was always super friendly and willing to answer any questions we had. Our room was cleaned promptly every day and the turn down service was such a nice extra. We ordered room service daily which arrived on time and was always exactly what we ordered. We spent a morning at the spa which was also spectacular. We will absolutely be back for our annual NYC trip.
