Reviews for The Dominick Hotel

Great stay. Will return.

We just finished a great stay at The Dominick. We had two rooms, both with incredible views. The rooms were attractive and comfortable. We had great front-desk interactions with Nefertiri and Sydeka, they were both very kind and helpful. Great ambassadors for the hotel. I had seen some reviews complaining about the elevators. We didn’t find it to be a problem. There are many floors, but not too many rooms per floor, which we liked. Sometimes there was a short wait for an elevator but nothing egregious so don’t be concerned, like I was, after reading the reviews. Every staff person was extremely friendly. Doormen, restaurant servers, housekeepers. We LOVED housekeeping. They came early in the day and we were thrilled. Only weird thing is that there is not a door to the bathroom. There is privacy in the toilet area, but it’s more like a stall, not its own room. Not the best set-up if you’re traveling with another person. But, overall we liked the location and hotel enough that we will go back. But we did spend some time thinking about how the hotel could add some bathroom doors. ;)

Great Views Great location but average service

Beautiful room/suite! The view was stunning of the river and the city! However the carpet was stained in the living area. The early check in was not honored although they said the room was empty at 12:00 we did not get in until after 3 (later than regular check in). Stored luggage at check out. Bellman did not bring luggage for over 10 mins. In line at reception to re request luggage after 15 min. Finally bags were retrieved and we made our connections to the train. Bathroom has poor lighting and no makeup mirror.

Staff were to a person attentive and professional and cordial. We enjoyed our stay and loved our room. The sole constructive feedback was that we had to ask for complimentary bottled water upon arrival. It is provided at night, but it should be there 24/7. Otherwise, a great stay and a great location (for us at least), with easy access to Soho and West Village shops.

Nice Property - Expected More for the Price Point

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

Nice property overall. However, for the price point, a bit more attention to detail could have been paid to the some of the finishings and the room. Air vent very dirty and not completely flush and affixed the wall. Walls could have used some touch up paint.

We enjoyed our stay at The Dominick. The rooms are spacious with great views. The bathtub was a relaxing way to unwind after busy days walking around the city. The location is convenient to shopping in Soho. The staff was always friendly😌
