Trump SoHo New York in New York City, New York

There is no mistaking Trump SoHo New York on downtown’s skyline. The 46-story glass tower rises high above cobblestoned Spring Street, a surprisingly smooth marriage of the neighborhood’s industrial-chic personality and The Donald’s trademark luxury. Located on the western edge of SoHo, the hotel is a perfect home base for exploring the art galleries, boutiques and historic cast-iron architecture surrounding it. At night, return for dinner reservations at Koi, the celeb-magnet Japanese fusion restaurant just off the hotel’s sweeping, dimly lit lobby.

Watch the sun rise over Midtown’s skyscrapers from the vantage point of your penthouse suite. Go for a morning jog along the Hudson River. Break for a coffee in the West Village and browse a local bookstore hidden on a quiet, tree-lined street. Don a pair of boots from a SoHo boutique and blend in with the fashion models dashing off to castings. Unwind in a Zen-inspired environment while dining on miso-bronzed black cod.

The staff were great from the moment we arrived, checking us in quickly and giving us an overview of what was available in the hotel. The entrance is chic and smells nice and the room we were staying in was spacious and simply decorated. The bathroom was nice with a separate bath/shower and kept immaculate. I can't remember which floor we were on but we had views of the Brooklyn bride from our room. The bed was really big and comfortable. The pool is quite small but we managed to get a sun lounger for a couple of hours on 2 of our 4 day stay. Towels were provided on arrival so even if there were no loungers available, we could still go for a swim. Drink selection was good and can be charged to the room so no need to carry any unnecessary items around. The hotel is well placed - there is a subway station a couple of minutes walk. There are lots of nice bars and restaurants within walking distance - its a nice are of the city to stay in. The only thing about the area is that there nothing seemed to be open before 10 am. There was a coffee shop but nothing else. I would definitely recommend it to anyone considering a stay here.

Our 30th wedding anniversary trip. We did not want to go to Europe since we feel it has some security issues. We had the very top floor and corner suite! The view was the Freedom Tower and the Hudson River. We were mesmerized by the view! The management sent fresh chocolate covered big strawberries for our anniversary. It was such a great jester! We were given bottled water everyday. The room had an unusual smell. I asked the cleaning lady, she said the carpet was a few days old. Some furniture had seen better days, not bad but I think, an elegant hotel must keep up with the " today" look. We will stay here again. The front desk were so hospitalable. We will return and asked for the same room.

This hotel is stunning, the views are awe inspiring but the real star is the people! We were treated like absolute royalty from the moment we pulled up to the curb until the second we left. We can't wait to come back again!

The main thing that stood out was the service. Be it during the day or late at night, the service was great. I enjoyed my suite and fruit platter. I think the room was very clean and I always felt welcomed. I would stay here again. No complaints.

Many of my colleagues give me no end of grief for staying at the Trump Soho. Personally, I do not view my choice of hotel as a political statement. I frequently travel to NYC and often stay at the Trump. I simply think it is the best hotel downtown and I like staying there. Partly I find it convenient. But mostly I like the rooms. They are spacious and comfortable. It is also easy to valet my car and accessible from the tunnel. The staff - from the guys at the curb through all of the folks on the desk - are unfailingly gracious, friendly and helpful. This is a pleasant, modern hotel that neither seems too big or self- consciously pretentious. It is an easy place to stay where the staff treats you in a nicely personal manner while also providing highly efficient service. I will no doubt be back - many times.
