great customer service at the Meatpacking location. It was my wife's birthday and I called in to see what packages they had for the room and the front desk manager Klawson said he would take care of us and make it a great experience. He had champagne brought in for when we checked in and it started off the weekend perfect. Its the little things like this that make you enjoy your vacation a little more... Centrally located to everything in Meatpacking and close to the high line.

I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights with a few friends. The area in which the hotel is located is quite nice. A lot of great shopping and restaurants around the area within walking distance. The rooms are larger than typical NY hotel rooms. I was disappointed at the lack of customer service. Staff the front desk look unhappy and don’t acknowledge you until they have a chance to look up. Not the friendliest bunch of people even in conversation. The bathrooms in the lobby are a disaster most days and I even saw a massive roach in the bathroom. It looked like no one had cleaned it in hours. The doormen are friendly and the bartenders apparently make a great cinnamon based mule drink. I won’t stay again cuz nothing appeals to me and I don’t feel like a valued customer.

This hotel was in a nice, little, area of NYC. Very close to a lot of nice restaurants, bars, Chelsea Market and the Highline. It has a beautiful rooftop bar, with excellent views of the river and the city. The drinks were great! There is also a nice pool up there, if you want to spend time swimming and relax for a few hours. The pool area had complimentary samples of sunscreen too. In the morning, we purchased coffee to go and I thought the price was a little ridiculous! I think I paid $12.00 for 2 coffees to go. Online it says they offer complimentary coffee but the hours say 6 am to 7am. Why say you offer coffee at all, if you can only get it within a 1 hour window? Also, they do not have an icemaker in the halls, you have to call and get ice. I did not like that I had to wait around for the ice to come. I would rather go down the hall and get the ice myself. It made it a little inconvenient, having to wait around for the ice to come so you can finally chill your drinks. Overall, I like the hotel, it was clean, nice décor, friendly staff, great bartenders and the rooms were a decent size for NYC. Our housekeeper was so sweet too. We had the queen room with the pull out sofa bed. It was plenty of space for 3 girls. I would definitely stay here again. The only think I would do differently is to get my coffee down the street at the local coffee shop.

My husband and I stayed at the end of October. Sadly the hotel appeared to be a college kid hangout where no one could control their alcohol intake. Consequently there was vomit everywhere. Definitely not a place I would ever stay in again or recommend to anyone.

First of all let me start by saying the hotel isn't bad. It's in a great location, the staff were good and the room was always kept clean. However, the hotel itself is in definite need of some refurbishment. The decor is tired and dated (there's a large photo of people partying covering the wall behind the bed, really corny), not much seems to work in the room - TV had no signal and the bluetooth speakers were broken. Some of the amenities, particularly the gym, were also old and in need of some TLC. As a young couple, we like to stay in trendy, luxury hotels with a lively atmosphere - I thought this would be on a par, if not better than some of the W hotels I have stayed in, as well as the Dream downtown etc. Unfortunately we were a little underwhelmed, especially considering the rate is similar to the Standard, which is superior in my opinion. To conclude - average hotel in a good location. If you don't spend much time in your room, then you won't mind it. If you want a more high-end experience then go elsewhere.
