Dear Modernhaus Team, I wanted to take a moment to share feedback about my recent stay at your hotel in New York . While I appreciated certain aspects of the property, unfortunately the overall experience did not meet my expectations. The room size felt very small compared to the price point. Throughout our stay, there were multiple private events hosted at the hotel — including Fashion Week gatherings and even a wedding. Because of this, hotel guests were not permitted to access key facilities such as the rooftop and other common areas. This meant that whenever we wanted to relax at the hotel — whether to have a drink or simply a cup of coffee in the evening — it wasn’t possible. On one occasion, I even had to ask the concierge to recommend a nearby bar just to wait for a friend, which was disappointing. Advance notice of these restrictions would have been very helpful. Due to the events and resulting noise, we had to change rooms mid-stay. With only five nights in New York, this was especially disruptive, as repacking and moving took away valuable time during a work trip. On one occasion, our room was not serviced, and when we returned late at night, we had to call for fresh towels, which unfortunately did not arrive promptly. Additionally, the elevators were consistently very slow, often taking a long time just to move between floors, which added to the overall frustration. Overall, these issues made our stay far less comfortable and convenient than we had hoped. Boutique hotel with tastefully modern interior, super friendly staff, nice rooms and an amazing rooftop bar in the heart of SOHO NYC - strongly recommended for world travellers who are looking for art and style which is beyond the ordinary

ModernHaus has an excellent location and wonderful residential feel. Rooms are LOVELY with great views! Bed linens are top notch. I personally gravitate toward mid-century aesthetic and this property has the perfect mix with modern design and comfort. Service is very professional but not at all intrusive. I will definitely return!

We recently stayed at the Modernhaus. The staff was friendly & helpful. However, They advertise a rooftop pool and a restaurant. The pool hours are 8-4 & 8-2pm. It was 95 degrees and you couldn't even swim or be near the pool in prime hours. In addition, the pool is dirty, there is equipment, etc. stored in the corner and no drinks, or food available. In addition, the Twenty Three Grand restaurant is not open! It is only used for private events. Two major selling points are falsly advertised. We paid way too much to stay here to not have the ameneties that we booked for. We will not return to this hotel.

Fantastic. Great location. Professional and thoughtful staff. Quiet, clean room. Great location. Fun rooftop bar with great city views. The hotel is a perfect size. No waiting for elevators or long lines. Highly recommned.
