Set against the backdrop of SoHo’s iconic cast-iron buildings and cobblestone streets, ModernHaus is a gathering place for urban travelers—and a thoughtfully designed extension of our neighborhood’s creative and dynamic spirit. Artworks from some of the most influential figures of the past century grace our walls: Alexander Calder, George Condo, Harland Miller, Jean Dubuffet, KAWS. It’s our homage to our neighborhood’s artistic past and an inspiring canvas for a thoroughly modern stay. At ModernHaus SoHo, style and substance go hand in hand. Our museum-worthy assemblage of artworks nod to our neighborhood’s storied past, while our variety of outdoor spaces give travelers the rare opportunity to float above the frenzy of the streets. Located on our second floor is Jumpin Jacks, a chic all-day eatery that transforms into an intimate lounge at night. Set out to discover what makes SoHo one of the most dynamic neighborhoods in New York City; the city’s best shopping, dining, and cultural spots are at your doorstep. Or stay closer to home, unwinding in your residential-inspired guest room, dining at the Veranda restaurant from Michelin-starred chef George Mendes, or soaking up some sun —with a side of city views—from our rooftop pool bar, Jimmy. We believe in modern luxury that builds on the strength of the community to offer an unrivaled guest experience.

I’ve stayed at Modernhaus a few times over the last couple years and have recommended it to several colleagues traveling to the area. Unfortunately, the most recent experience was terrible. Everyone working there remains nice and friendly, but the construction going well into the night was unbearable. There is no callout when booking about a construction project across the street that will impact the experience. Not exaggerating, I heard very loud construction noises until 2am when the sleeping pill I took out of desperation finally kicked in. I understand that Modernhaus isn’t doing the construction, but they need to be honest with consumers about what they’re going to face and frankly should adjust their prices accordingly. This was a far cry from a 5 star hotel experience. I’ll need to find a new go-to hotel for work travel.

Great hotel overall. Only reason I’m giving 4 stars is because I called for help with my luggage an hour before I needed the help. They never showed up. Frustrating to say the least for a 5-Star hotel. Adam and Jerome at the front desk were amazing. Mare at the lounge on the second floor was super fun to talk to.

From the moment I checked in, my experience at ModernHaus was awesome. Kristi and Chris at the front desk warmly greeted me and provided a wonderful champagne welcome! My bags were then swept to my room, which was small but very comfortable and cozy, and from there my experience just kept getting better. From the amazing beds, super clean rooms and extremely fast room service, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you!

Kristy, at the front desk is incredible. She made the entire visit worth it and made me want to recommend the hotel to other friends and peers. She was energetic, empathetic and was knowledgeable about tell the hotels and the area when I asked about good sushi. Her level of detail was refreshing.

I took my daughter to NYC for her 8th birthday. It was her first time to the city. The ModerHaus Soho staff made her trip magical! They were splendid and so kind. They treated her like a princess and made her feel so special. Kristy went above and beyond! I highly recommend the hotel.
