It nestles in a nice neighborhood, more quiet and friendly than what you would expect for NYC. It is close to fantastic shops. Public transportation is not an issue. The view is fantastic from the room. It is a very well staffed hotel. The bed is amazingly comfortable. The amenities are great. It is close to Hudson River Park for those who love to hike or run. I highly recommend this hotel. Would definitely come back again.

I stayed one night and loved every part of my experience. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. I loved the modern aesthetic, and the electronic bathroom shade was dope! The view from my room on the 15th floor was amazing. I also received excellent service both at the from desk and in the lobby. One of the highlights was checking out the rooftop bar, The JIMMY, at night - truly amazing! I will definitely stay here again.

I would highly recommend this hotel. The space is beautiful, the rooms are large and the location is perfect. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating from the minute we checked in. There are many different spaces to unwind and relax, and the complimentary evening wine and cheese was a nice touch.

I stayed at the James New York - Soho for only one night, on a business trip. I would have stayed longer, given the chance. My room was confortable with neutral washed out beach colours that were soothing and modern. The linens and bathrobe were good quality. The bath amenities included quality natural products with wonderful scents. They also have the larger in-shower formats for shampoo/conditioner, which means less plastic polluting our oceans. The service, from the valet welcome at street level, to the reception lobby, to room service is friendly and professional. The hotel pays a lot of attention to design details, is careful of the environment and serves early morning coffee in the lobby with fresh scones. I just wished that the breakfast menu had included oatmeal without sugar based toppings. I always wonder why I can't choose a selection of toppings to my taste. It would be so easy to offer a choice of 3 toppings. However, what really impressed me is the staff. The morning that I checked out, I forgot a bracelet that I had just received for my wedding anniversary. When I called the next day, room service had my bracelet and the concierge arranged it's return via FedEx. I was completely impressed by the cleaning staff's honesty and the concierge's (Morgan Kelly) quick response and follow-up emails. I would stay here again for the location, the welcome, the atmosphere, the attention paid to details (room service staff have a very cool uniform) and the confort of the room. Thanks.

Great location right next to subway and great access to SoHo. Rooms are on the smaller side (expected at this price point) and west facing views only. But the higher floors do have a nice view. The service here and the small lobby give this place a nice cozy feel though. All of the staff was extremely friendly and would go the extra mile for us. Yu Un at the front desk really took care of us this trip.
