This is my third time staying at this grand old hotel. First time was excellent. That was about three years ago. Second time was during the renovation and that was a disaster. This time, first since renovation, I found the hotel to have lost much of it's charm. The lobby bar and much of the renovations leave it a bit antiseptic. Pity, as it was it was a favorite spot.

The Hotel Viking was a great stay. Stylish, modern and clean room. Great bath products. Friendly and helpful staff. The on-site gym was decent... not in the best shape but decent. Onsite spa was great but expensive.

Pack them in... How could so many kids be piled into each room.... Daycare at the pool with no management..... Not a towel left or a chair to sit on.... Toys all over the place..... Takeout bags all over each table....

We have stayed here before and had a much better experience in the past. It was not a great experience for the price. The food at the restaurant was terrible. Overall, the hotel did not seem to be prepared for the volume of guests for the holiday weekend.
