The staff at the Hotel Viking were excellent hosts. From the great welcome at check in to the assistance throughout our stay. We loved this property, it exceeded our expectations. Looking forward to going back, sometime in the summer season. Cannot say enough good things about this place one of our favorites!

Never been to newport RI and we found a great deal at this hotel.its a nice place and the people that worked there from the valet parking to the room service people were very accomodating.the lobby offers coffee and tea in the morning and it has a gym and an indoor pool.it is very centrally located to all newport has to offer, cliffwalk, restaurants, the port and pubs.although the room we had was a bit small it was still comfortable.i would stay there again.

Hotel Viking was fantastic. The staff was amazing and the bartender was so much fun. The hotel food was excellent and this is not always true of hotel food. The rooms were very beautifully decorated and very comfortable. It is located in a very quiet but within walking distance of the harbor and shops.

This was our first visit to the Viking. What a wonderful hotel! Very attentive and helpful staff, regarding restaurants and destinations. Good location with some nice shops right up the street. Parking was $30 for valet, which we used as the closest other was blocks away. Comfy beds, large rooms and small but nicely updated bath. The only negative was the shampoo provided in the shower! My husband and haven't had hair that greasy since high school lol.

This hotel, which is on the National Historic register, is in need of a face lift. The room had a slightly musty smell and the carpeting was overdue to be replaced. The lobby area is warm and inviting while the rooms are reminiscent of something seem more in a two star hotel. While the staff is very friendly, we didn't like the Valet parking only option, which was just an annoyance. Compared to other places we have stayed in Newport, we are puzzled as to how this one got its high reviews. We will be back to Newport, but not to the Hotel Viking!
