We had an absolutely exceptional stay at The Vanderbilt in Newport—truly one of the most memorable hotel experiences we’ve ever had. What made it so special was the incredible team: Heather, Melissa, Luke, and all the bell and door staff. From the moment we arrived, they went above and beyond in every way. They remembered our names and preferences, greeted us warmly every time we came and went, and made us feel genuinely welcome—not just as guests, but as friends. Their kindness, attentiveness, and personal touches created an experience that felt more like staying with family than at a hotel. It’s rare to find that level of service and authenticity, and it made all the difference. We’ve stayed in many beautiful places, but we have never had such a thoughtful, warm, and personalized experience. We can’t wait to return.

I went here for my birthday weekend with my boyfriend and it was the best stay, I could not ask for more! Surrounded by shops, restaurants, the water, etc. Unlimited ways to spend your time in the area, and once you stay at The Vanderbilt you will not want to go anywhere else.

The reason this will forever be our go-to property destination whenever we return to Rhode Island is Srdan Dokovic. I have rarely been so impressed by the level of customer service provided. His dedication to ensuring every guest has an outstanding experience is nothing short of remarkable. From the thoughtful handwritten notes of appreciation to his warm, friendly greetings each time we arrived or departed, his attention to detail and genuine care were evident throughout our stay. He helped make my wife’s birthday one of the most memorable and I am forever grateful.
