We so much enjoyed this resort from the moment we checked in. It‘s a bit pricey but so worth compared to all the other hotels and resorts in Nha Trang (horrible place). We have booked the pool beach villa. They are very spacious and give you full privacy. Apparently they‘ve done some great renovations to the room. We’ve stayed in Villa number 7 and just loved everything - I actually had a hard time finding the bathroom as there were too many ;) The outdoor shower and bathtub just make you feel you‘re on a Robinson Crusoe island. Each day you will get fruits and some sweets. The wifi could have been better but our butler Dao made the best she could do ant it worked out finde. She was the best, cared so much and was funny too. The food at the restaurant was really good too. I didn’t care so much for the buffet but it looked delicious too - I‘m just not a buffet type of guy. And our waitress Thoa was the best. It really was heaven on earth and I‘m so glad we have booked this resort. Breathtaking views. Thanks to everybody at the L‘Alyana for making us such a pleasant, unforgettable stay. We definitely meet again.

Nha Trang seems to have a very volatile wet season and this resort is on an island at the bottom of a mountain, so tons of water pour down the mountain towards the resort when it rains. This certainly drenches one's enthusiam for a nice tropical holiday. Nha Trang has just experienced a major Cyclone (Damrey), two smaller ones and now serious flooding. That is a lot of water! Access to the island is by a tiny speed boat and in wet stormy weather the trip across is scary. It's not good if you are prone to sea sickness and if other guests have a chunder, (spew up). If you take the trip some sea sick pills could be handy! There are a lot of resorts in Nha Trang that are on solid ground and not below a mountain. During Nha Trang's wet season or if you don't like rough boat trips, these are options that one could consider. The resort is a very long way from the airport and in wet weather takes about two hours to reach, and two hours back, effectively wiping half a day off your holiday. Depending on conditions, such as flooding it could take considerably longer. Nightly fees at L'Alyana are very expensive and if you experience rain it becomes an expensive washout, a wet blanket on your trip. There's nothing much to do on the island at the best of times and in wet weather watching TV and 'sleeping' are your best options. However there are plenty of resorts on the mainland which have TVs and beds! Food is expensive at L'Alyana and in wet stormy weather, a trip back to the mainland is risky and unpleasant, to visit restaurants for reasonably priced meals that are more inviting and delicious. If time is of an essence for your holiday, there are umpteen resorts within minutes of the airport and all on a very nice beach.

The L'Alyana villas are a great way to escape from the frantic pace of Vietnam's Nha Trang coastline. So close (just a short boat ride) and yet it feels a hundred miles away. If that is what you want from a holiday, this will deliver.

We stayed for 3 nights, it is a perfect escape from the city. The staff are great and our butler Than was very attentive ans helpful throughout our stay. Due to the recent storm, they unfortunately had some difficulty with their wifi and land scaping but that really didn't affect our stay overall. Great breakfast served with enough variety for us as Vegans. I don't really have anything negative except the food was on the expensive side given it is the only place to eat at. I would definitely recommend this place as long as it is for a secluded get away.

We loved staying at L'Alyana. The food was great (more expensive than Vietnam prices but thats expected at a resort), the staff were very accommodating and friendly, the resort was perfect for us as we were after a relaxing quiet holiday. They have kayaks, hiking and bikes available to enjoy! We would definitely go back sometime in the future.
