Excellent service, food and hotel room. Love their spa treatments and pools. Beautiful gardens to visit. Easy access to downtown NOTL and wineries.

Horrible experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

We just returned from our stay at the Pillar and Post and I have truly never been so glad to leave a hotel in my life. This was my 4th time coming here and I have also stayed at the other Vintages properties as well and I was beyond disappointed in our stay and the cleanliness of the hotel. I don't even know where to begin but I will start with the cleanliness of the rooms. After returning to our room from watching the Canada Day fireworks with our two young kids, I went to go get in bed and pulled the sheet back to find a disgusting yellow stain on the duvet. It was so appalling and clearly had not been washed. It looked like urine. I called the front desk to complain and also went down to speak with them. They offered to move our rooms which we accepted as who knows what else wasn't cleaned in there. They told me that they would compensate our night due to this inconvenience and the fact that it was 11:30pm now. They put us in a suite on the same floor and guaranteed it was clean. Everything looked great until I went to the bathroom, which beside the toilet there was a blood stain and a brown smear on the wall. Utterly gross. They of course apologized again and told me the manager would be in touch. I did not hear from the manger during our stay. Upon checking out after our two night stay, I find out they would only be taking $200 off our bill and that this was "a very significant refund for them to provide". I was told they would not be refunding us the night as I was told they would. Really terrible service for someone who is a repeat client of theirs. Next up the pool. Good luck getting a seat and even trying to get into the water, it is so packed. They charge a $20 a day resort fee, fine but only if you can actually use the amenities. The pool was full of adults drinking in it all day and people that go down first thing and secure their chair for the day. We used the indoor pool but that room is so humid and hot it was not enjoyable. Onto the parking lot. They do no have enough parking onsite for the number of guests which causes a lot of stress when trying to park your car. People are fighting for the same spot and guests are being told to use a public parking lot. Again, free parking and a resort fee, but only if you can actually use them. If you care about cleanliness or being treated respectfully, do not stay at this hotel.

A Romantic Adventure.

We had dinner at the Cannery Restaurant and it was outstanding. We stayed at the Moffat Inn - part of the Vintage Hotels at Niagara on the Lake. We celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary for a beautiful get away. This was an exceptional mini vacation and truly a magical experience. Shaw Festival's Wait Until Dark was a bonus to complete our 3 days away. Thank-you.

Absolutely wonderful

Thought goes into making the guest always feel special. From turndown service to the restaurant asking if we'd like a coffee or tea to go after breakfast. Beautiful gardens, spa, pool, restaurant, lounge.
