Travelled with a group here. I don't even know where to begin. Overall , this place is dull. There is no night life. Bars are closed early during the evening went for a drink at 9 p.m. there was no bars open you're on vacation expect to be able to have at least a beverage before bed. Don't buy the drink package is a total waste of money only worthwhile we got was when the waitress came around the pool we were able to get a drink. Service at restaurants in full side or absolutely terrible one day at the pool the drink waitress walk by one time and the four hours that the wife and I were sitting at the pool. There was no music playing at the pool there was no activities at the pool for the entire week we were there it felt truly like a nursing home with a swimming pool. They advertise a great Lobby bar when we arrived on Tuesday there was no Lobby Bar the girl behind the desk did not even know they had a Lobby Bar. 3 days later we walked past Lobby and here is a table on Wheels with booze bottles and a POS system with someone working behind the the table this is the great Lobby Bar. Most boring vacation I think I've ever had there is absolutely zero to do at this hotel unless you were a golfer you will be extremely bored with absolutely no nightlife no entertainment food was mediocre at best. Absolutely would never stay here again this was the most boring vacation I've had in a long time and I was so disappointed since we were there for Valentine's Day there was not even anything representing Valentine's Day at the restaurant no bands no DJs no absolutely zero music at all. Medi restaurant food mediocre at best. The buffet breakfast was terrible same exact food everyday couldn't even make scrambled eggs scrambled eggs tasted like foam from a cushion. There is an omelet station where you can get an omelette made fresh, only problem is the eggs are not fresh the eggs came from a milk carton that was marked eggs the only reason I know this is when she made my omelette she had struggled with the container and I saw the container with my own eyes also then we were never offered a actual menu that we didn't know was an option instead of eating the garbage that they called a buffet. They did have a barbecue tonight which offered hamburgers and hotdogs and this was a $40 a plate Buffet. The room was somewhat comfy floor was extremely cold due to the tile / marble on the floor there was no absolutely no carpeting whatsoever. The bathtub was hazardous to use the tub is probably a good 30 30 to 40 inches above the floor to climb into you needed a stool to get into the bathtub. Shower head was so high you cannot be reached to be adjusted shower head was probably at least 7 foot off of the tub and had no chance of trying to reach it to adjust how the water comes out. You cannot set the thermostat below a certain temperature wife and I like it a little cool at night but there was absolutely zero comfort in the air conditioning the room was still very hot at night made us uncomfortable. The TV remote pretty much did not work when we did get it to work we only received four stations that actually spoke English, let's just say we watched a lot of Food Network and A & E as those were the only stations that were actually come through on our television. In short if you are a golfer or an older couple that enjoys quiet times with mediocre food slow service this is definitely the hotel for you, if you are a younger couple looking for nightlife dancing music Good Times something any any activity at all this is definitely not the place for you look elsewhere there's no place else to go on the property the hotel was a good 20 minute drive to the main road, the only reason I know is because the bus that was taking us had to clock and it took us 15 minutes to get through the resort

First, I would like to say that I’m always leery of bad reviews. I think there’s a lot of people that are hard to please. I always think... you’re on vacation. How bad could it be??? Well, let me tell you. First day, the fuse blew. So no electric until maintenance came. We also had no hot water on the first day. Second day, no air conditioning. They said that we must have left the balcony doors open as that turns the air off. Well, we were not even on the balcony and had not opened the doors. But, according to them we must have done something. They finally came and got it running late that night. Day three, again no air. Funny thing is, my husband sells heating and air conditioning. We didn’t do squat!!! They have faulty crap! Again, they fixed it after dinner. So fun getting showered and dressed in humid no air conditioning! Love showering and sweating while I’m trying to dry my hair and apply makeup. Day four, day four found us with no towels. They never cleaned our room that day and exchanged towels. The towels were still wet at dinner. I wanted to shower after a day at the beach and get ready for dinner. I called to say that I think the maids accidentally missed us and that I understood because it seemed like the resort had more people. I was totally ok with the missed cleaning. I just wish they would leave some fresh towels. The gal at the front desk argued with me and said I put a do not disturb sign on the door. I did NOT put a sign on the door. I left the room at 8am and returned at 4:30. All I wanted was towels. The gal at the front desk informed me that the cleaning staff only works from 9-5 and it was 4:30 so she would see, but could not promise me. Seriously??? So I went looking on my own. I found a maid down the hall and asked for her to just give me a couple of towels. I could go on and on and on. Another thing to consider... there are no bars. No place to hang out in the evening. Don’t bother buying the drink package as you have no place to hang out and you have to go hunting people to get a drink. They create a make shift bar in the lobby from 6pm to about 9pm. None of the restaurants open until 10am. So you can’t even get a water until then. On vacation, we always get breakfast about 7-8am then head for the beach. Yes, I like to have my occasional fruity alcoholic drink. But, I do like to have water before 10am. Not here!!! Not until 10am. Sounds petty, but when it’s hot and your sitting in the sun, it’s kind a nice to have water. The resort opens up to the locals on Sunday. OMG!!!! So many people! All the chairs were taken. The pool is over flowing. They all come in on boats. They tie up a gazzillion boats and start coming in like a cattle herd. The resort does nothing to stop them. It’s completely ridiculous. Some of our people actually sat on the steps because they couldn’t find seating. I’m serious when I say it was out of control! Another thing to consider, you are out in the middle of no where. I mean no where. It’s at least 30-40 minutes to the nearest town. No other restaurants, you are completely trapped there. Food is expensive and in my opinion, just ok. Mind you, it’s not bad. But, it’s just ok. Staff is NOT friendly. We were there for a business vacation with 100 of my husband’s customers. They all complained and they all said the staff was unfriendly and a pain. Many of our people complained about the front desk. For one thing, they never answer the freaking phone. Have you ever stayed somewhere, where the front desk doesn’t answer the phone??? These people don’t answer or they go as far as picking up the phone and setting it down on the counter and ignore you. This way you can’t call and they don’t have to listen to the phone ringing. Can you believe that? More than one in our group complained about this. And if you check other reviews you will see how the front desk rates. Many others complain about them and still they are rude and continue to treat people bad. Anyone that travels a lot, will tell you that you will always have some hiccups. And that is completely true. They will also tell you that when traveling in the Caribbean that the food is a hit and a miss. Again, so true. So to be fair... This place averages better than most when it comes to food. But, no hot water??? no air 2 days in a row??? No towels??? Rude people??? That’s more than a hiccup. Do yourself a favor, pass on this resort. Stay elsewhere.

It’s been cold and wintery in the southern part of the United States so let’s go somewhere, where the temperature is warm and there’s no hurricane damage to deal with. Santa Barbara resort was just the answer. The golf is very good and extremely challenging, the wind makes for a much longer tract the rooms are great and the amenities are numerous. If you’re heading into the Caribbean this is the place for you.

Hotel was relaxing and quiet with wonderful amenities. The golf, spa and beach were perfect. We really enjoyed dinning at Shore restaurant too. You do need a car to drive to other parts of the island. The people were very friendly.

Santa Barbara Resort has stunning views with clean and well equipped facilities. The staff is friendly and chill. We chose an ocean view, which you pay a bit more for but its well worth it. A bountiful breakfast buffet is included in the package. The walking paths have beautiful flowering bushes with humming birds aplenty. There are plenty of activities; from water sports to biking. I recommend exploring the island but if you want to relax and enjoy the Caribbean climate; you can't go wrong with just hanging out at the resort.
