Reviews for Thalatta Seaside Hotel

Great choice both for families and couples as a relaxing getaway

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 7 months ago

We stayed in the hotel with our infant and we truly enjoyed every moment. Staff was kind enough to give us a room upgrade - we did not use it because the upgraded room would not fit our needs, but the gesture was much appreciated and eventually we got facilitated in a very convenient ground floor room. Room was spacious and extremely clean. Even though the hotel is right in front of the beach, we enjoyed our time by the pool with our baby, there is a kid friendly site, supervised by a lovely girl, who would welcome us every morning with the happiest attitude. We had all of our meals in the hotel too, so we can validate the quality of the kitchen, even the kids menu was great and so many options offered for breakfast. We would love to come back to Thalatta Seaside Hotel in the future and experience some relaxing family moments again.

Paradise lost… and found!

As I write this we are still at Thalatta but wanted to make sure we left a very good review for this fabulous place. This hotel was in part of the area affected by floods in September and we were advised by the hotel that some of the roads were impassable when we arrived on 6th. After an overnight stay at Estreria, we headed for Aghia Anna. Our first impression of the area and the beach was that the place had really suffered from the floods. There was a lot of debris on the beach from fallen trees and washed up detritus from the sea. As the weather changed, the hotel staff quickly got into action clearing the beach and as I sit here by the poolside this afternoon, you would never know there had been such heavy storms and flooding. The staff, cleaners and lifeguard are all so polite and can’t do enough to make your stay amazing. This place is like the Greece of 40 years ago, unspoiled with a few traditional tavernas 20 mins walk down the beach. The food at the hotel is a bit pricey €29 for tuna, but what they offer is done very well. We have visited several other beaches so far for example, the one you can see to the North end of the beach with a little ‘causeway’ section of beach with one side calm and clear and the other still ravaged from the storm. This is a good 1km walk from the roadside on the cliff. Probably not suitable for weak walkers. We also went to Limni on the West side, Edipsos is a must see with its hot natural mineral springs, around an hours drive away and of course we also went to Skopelos by ferry from Port Mantoudi around 20 mins away. All in all, as the days have gone by we are loving this place more and more. It is isolated, and if your’e looking for a Skiathos type holiday, this is not it. What this is is SO MUCH BETTER if you want breathtaking sunrises, quiet calm and peacefulness and to be moments from a deep blue sea with pebbled shore and inviting waters. Well done to the architect of this building, the wonderful staff and the amazingly generously spaced room we have which overlooks the nearby mountains to the south. We will miss it here. HUGE THANKYOU!

Nice hotel but overrated

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 8 months ago

Beautiful and modern setup at a quiet area of the island. Spacious and clean rooms. Breakfast was good. Service was not up to the standards of the hotel and in our opinion it was very overpriced. Sea was not so nice but we had the option of the pool.

Great resort for families

This resort in Agia Anna was the perfect place for our family and friends with children ranging from 2 to 8 years old. We were traveling with a group of families. The staff were always smiling and kind, they did their best to help us have the best time and catered to our requests. The facility was very beautiful, the pool, the beach and the rooms. Kudos to the kids club staff for going above and beyond for the kids that had a great time with them playing games. Breakfast was great!

A modern hotel with views of Skopelos and the Aegean

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 10 months ago

This was our third visit to this hotel. We visited in 2014 and 2016. In 2021 a huge fires wept across the area behind the hotel destroying 60,000 hectares of forest. The forest is slowly recovering and the hotel has been fully repaired as have many local houses. This is still one of the most relaxing places to stay, with friendly staff, good food and a well-stocked bar. It is beautifully-designed modern hotel, with large rooms, air-conditioning etc and is extremely-well maintained, making it a joy to stay there. The hotel offers entertainment for children and a life-guard watches the extensive pool. It is only 100m from the sea and there are umbrellas and sun loungers near the sea. All the external areas are serviced by waiting staff who are extremely obliging.
