I had an incredibly wonderful stay in Banyan Tree Maldives! From a very friendly and hospitable staff. Clean and a very beautiful room with view of the ocean and different themes daily. Perfect lounge chairs, hammocks, huts, etc.. Delicious foods from breakfast buffet, thai and japanese restaurant . An excellent spa experience with my best masseur-EE, the perfectly sweet welcome and after spa tea. Not to mention perfect sunrise, sunset and view of the full moon with a lot of stars. I was so amazed with the hammocks on top of the beach water on the side of the japanese restaurant which was perfect especially for cocktails and sunset view! I will miss watching the fishes and sharks at night by the runway. Overall am looking forward for another Banyan Tree Maldives trip!!!

We have been lucky to go to the Maldives a number of times but the Banyan tree stands out as one of the best experiences we have ever had. We 100 % recommend to anyone who wants excellent service, amazing food, fantastic snorkelling and lovely attention to detail. All the staff are amazing especially Allath on reception, Fatima and many many more. We hope to be back again soon. Pete and Lucy. Ps. Villa 16 is excellent

We had an amazing stay at Banyan Tree Maldives and honestly felt relaxed from the moment we arrived. We were warmly greeted by our host, who showed us around the island and made everything feel easy and welcoming straight away. The island itself is beautifully barefoot and completely pristine, peaceful, green, and incredibly calm. There’s lots of natural shade, which makes wandering around really pleasant, and the beach villas are set around the edge of the island so they feel very private. We stayed in a sunset-view villa and the views every evening were absolutely stunning -definitely worth it. One of our favourite experiences was the complimentary sunset catamaran cruise included in the stay. It was perfect: champagne, canapés, and watching the sun go down over the ocean. Such a special touch and a real highlight of the trip. The restaurants all had a relaxed, tranquil atmosphere and never felt crowded. Each setting had beautiful views, which made every meal feel special without being formal or busy. We also loved visiting the sister island, Dhawa, which is incredible for snorkelling. Even if you’ve never snorkelled before, it’s ideal because the reef is so close to the beach -you can see amazing marine life without needing to swim far out. Overall, Banyan Tree Maldives is a peaceful, laid-back paradise and perfect if you’re looking to properly switch off and enjoy nature in a beautiful setting. We’d happily return!

We’ve just spent 3 wonderful nights in this paradise. From the moment we found our contact at the airport until we left the staff was so friendly, helpful and welcoming. Fatima greeted us on the jetty with a necklace, sand ceremony and welcome drink as well as a cool face clothe that feels amazingly nice every time you get one. You are encouraged to walk barefoot everywhere which is also surprisingly freeing. Our rooms were spectacular, spotless and comfortable. So much room. The outdoor bathroom feels so tropical and we soaked in our personal pool. Our seaside outdoor area provided a variety of seating areas including a hammock and a meditation hut, in case you tired of one you just moved to another. Diving is spectacular. We did a boat dive one day and a shore dive on the house reef one morning. I chose this island because of the house reef and it delivered. So sad to leave this beautiful island and all the amazing staff. But we had booked the remaining days of our stay on another island. Elias arranged transfer to the next island so we didn’t have to go back to Male and the in to the next but could just island hop. Many thanks. We are so grateful. Just another kind gesture from the staff. I’m trying to find something critical to say about the place but it’s hard to think of anything. Everything from the rooms to the restaurants to the activities were all so well done. We were impressed with the environmental awareness and their marine lab and work with restoring the reefs.

We have stayed at Sun Siyam Iru Vali on 3 occasions and became friendly with one of the staff, Uma, a lovely young lady from Nepal. When we found out that Uma had moved from Iru Veli to Vabbinfaru we decided to book a holiday there. Uma is based at the Japanese restaurant at Vabbinfaru and we had several delicious lunches and dinners there. It was so good to meet up with Uma again. Our “ambassador” was Fatima. She was very friendly and efficient, arranging things for us, which included two visits to the “sister island” Dhawa Ihuru, 5 minutes away by speedboat, for lunch. Our beach villa was on the sunrise side of the island (our choice) and was well appointed. Our “house boy” Nooh was a pleasant young man who efficiently kept our villa neat and tidy. Vibbinfaru is well known for its snorkelling, which wasn’t of interest to us. We were more interested in the “peace and serenity” aspect of the island. It was so different from the hustle and bustle of so many Mediterranean resorts. Apart from the Japanese restaurant there was another restaurant, Saffron, specialising in Thai food. There were also buffet dinners offering a range of foods. Whether it was breakfasts, lunches, dinners or buffet meals, the variety and quality of the food was outstanding. We sometimes had a cocktail before and after dinner in the Bar…….like the Japanese restaurant, a wonderful building with an array of comfortable seat. Everywhere the staff were so polite and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. On several occasions when at our beach villa we asked for some ice, which was delivered within two minutes! We also met the Catering Manager, Aden, who was from South Korea, a very pleasant man. We chose this Maldives island because of Uma. It proved to be a wonderful holiday.
