Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru

The island is stunningly beautiful. Our butler Holly provided excellent service, the food at the restaurant was delicious, and the staff was very warm and welcoming. It made me feel so cared for, and it was truly a perfect trip.

This detached villa, complete with a Jacuzzi and a small pool, ensured absolute privacy. The back door leads directly to an open-air terrace connected to the beach – this "open-door ocean view" design provided an unparalleled vacation experience. I especially want to commend the attentive restaurant staff. Within two days, she remembered our dietary preferences (e.g., our usual drinks and food choices), a model of exceptional service that made me feel right at home. Our thoughtful butler, Afraah, was the heart of the trip. From pick-up and drop-off at the pier, he not only handled daily chores but also provided surprises and reassurance. Each day was packed with activities, starting with a morning yoga session to energize myself, enjoying the sun and beach, and relaxing with a massage (SPA). Watching the sunset was an unmissable experience, perfectly concluding each day. In summary, after four relaxing days, Banyan Tree is a place I highly recommend.

We just spent 9 nights at Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru and had a wonderful relaxing stay in a beautiful beach front villa. Airport arrival and departure was seamlessly managed by the team. Adam who has worked for Banyan Tree for many years made arrival and departure stress free and pleasant accompanying us and taking our bags to and from the speedboat. One of the highlights on this island is the snorkelling. The reef is thriving and there is some fantastic reef preservation work ongoing. We saw turtles, eels, rays and shark along with lots of reef fish and corals. We really like the sustainability approach here, with the shampoo and conditioners being safe for the plants and solar panels throughout (though invisible). Suggestions to further improve the saving of energy would be to install timers or movement sensors for the external Villa lights as these stay on all night if not manually turned off. We also saw a number of tourists collecting sea shells and corals on the beach, it is not permitted to remove these from the Maldives and the hotel could help by reinforcing this as not everyone will know about this. The food was excellent and varied. Arguably there could be a little more Maldivian food on offer but there is some and the quality of food was very good. The menu choices for half board are a little limited on the a la carte which was fine for our 9 nights but any longer and it would have gotten a little repetitive. A shoutout all the staff but particularly to Fipit in the restaurant who was very attentive, welcoming and whose smile lights up the room. Well done for such attentive service. The man on the egg station each morning was also fantastic (sorry don’t recall his name) but he always served with a smile and had a morning chat. Our room contact was Allath who was at the other end of a WhatsApp if we needed anything. We had a problem with our fan not working and he coordinated getting the fan replaced and sent us on a complimentary boat trip whilst it was getting resolved, this was a nice touch. Our room service was excellent and I am really sorry I do not have a name for him. He was fantastic and left our room stocked and clean and provided small touches on turndowns. Excellent service! Drinks are pricey here (we were booked as Half board). Drinking water is provided in the Villa and at meals. Breakfast has a lovely choice of fresh juices and coffees/teas. Don’t miss tue sunset from the Japanese restaurant. Beautiful. Would highly recommend this resort if you are looking for a calm and relaxing stay without too much organised activity. It was perfect for us. Thank you to all the team!

The time spent in Vabinfaru was very pleasant, and our friend Allath, also provided very attentive service. The view of the sand house is very beautiful, and the snorkeling experience is also very good, looking forward to the next time.
