It was a great weekend with my friends. It is a beautiful hotel but the food and drinks were very expensive I'm sorry three drinks on the beach was $48. The resort was nice but very over priced. I probably would not stay again. The room was ordinary I would recommend staying in Fort Lauderdale or Hollywood Fl for just a nice hotel and much cheaper.

This property like most of the Trump brand have the highest quality locations and amenities. The building is beautiful, the pool is beautiful and can accomodate families of all ages. Its great in so many ways. But from the time we arrived for three upper quality rooms for a four night stay, one staff member after another just under performed. This was not a one night, one room experience. Our rooms were not ready, "No problem, we said. We can go to the spa and change into our swimwear and sit by the pool!". Until the spa wouldnt let out 14 year old daughter use the ladies changing room to get changed. They suggested the bathroom at the Tiki Bar outside. Needless to say, that bathroom was significantly less clean than the spa, as would be expected. Not where your young daughter feels comfortable changing. The four rooms are beautiful. But when there was a problem with a door in one of thr rooms, they dont send anyone to fix it for hours. When he did arrive and couldnt fix it (four return trips and four phone calls later) he blames the problem on us that its unfixable. So I suggest, just change the room? No thats not going to happen because the Manager on duty doesnt have the authority to change the room. Its a big property. If your the manager, you have some authority. It is more indicative of the overall service. It just fell short in every way. They just couldnt help with this, or just couldnt do that. Every need, every request, just fell short in every way. They get the stars for the beauty of the property and the location; but if you are like me and a big part of the equation is the comfort you feel from friendly effective service, THIS IS THE WRONG PLACE FOR YOU.

this hotel is in a excellent location, however the level does not come close to compare to other 5 star hotels in the immediate area, for example the acqualina, etc. the chairs by the beach are worn and not very comfortable and the color can run on your clothing in the heat, the quality of the furniture, decor of rooms, and general feeling of the hotel could use a upgrade, however the pool and beach is great [besides the seaweed at the beach], drinks are good, service is slow and not very high end.

Customer service was excellent! Junior suite was perfect for a week or more stay. Includes washer and dryer. Our housekeeper was awesome. Gilis beach restaurant and bar was perfect to enjoy the beautiful weather also. Great meals inside and outside the resort. Family atmosphere as well. Employees on the beach haul your beach loungers and place umbrella so you don't get sunburned. They also take food and drink orders. Very memorable vacation!

Lisa and I went here for three days to sit by the beach and soak in the hot tub as well as swim in the pool. Check in time is 4 pm but the arrival can be anytime after that if need be. Check out time is 11 AM the next day so you are paying premium prices for not even 24 hours. Another thing to be aware of is that they charge a resort fee above any payment of the hotel invoice. This fee was $29 per day plus tax. They also charged a $1 hospital fee? This was strange. Prices for beverages both non alcoholic and alcoholic are very high. And you will see a Miami tax, and a 19% Surcharge tacked on those high prices. If you get room service expect high prices plus the above listed fees and tack on another $3 for room service. Unfortunately what the 19% Surcharge is for and a room service fee is for is just pure below the lines greed fees. You also need to give a tip to the person who delivered your meal. In addition to above listed fees. Now on the bright side, the food and drinks although small portion is prepared perfectly. My drinks were cold and yes full of booze for the higher prices. Every single staff person that Lisa and I encountered were outstanding and friendly and very accommodating. Note in this stay we did have a few issues. The first is the toilet in our room overflowed and after calling 4 times for assistance all the girl at the switchboard would keep saying the person will be right up. I waited 45 minutes and that "I will send him right up never happened" the room was cleaned up sometime when we were still out and about. Another annoyance was the tv in room 1403 kept changing channels all by itself. A huge annoyance when we're trying to watch a movie. Also make sure you can place a deposit against your stay even if you paid for your room in full. The hotel charged us $470 against our credit card for expenditures while at the hotel. And they charge that so called daily resort fee against your credit card. So be prepared to pay more. The beach was fantastic, nice sunny days and the staff at the beach will set you up with a lounge chair and umbrella and small table. The waitstaff will run back and forth for you for snacks and drinks. Again 19% Surcharge and $3 delivery fee and tax. And like I said very expensive. The resort is also dangerous in if you want to cross the street. No traffic light in the immediate area, but a walk left or right out of the hotel will get you to a lighted cross walk. Nice lower priced restaurants in the area within walking distance, and a strip mall in the area. All within walking distance. The place was not that bad. But be aware of the expenses.
