I will begin by saying that some reviews are a little over board. Can it be pricey? This is subjective... it really depends on what one feels is to much. Pros: pools, beach and rooms. Full disclosure... I had 2 bedroom suite that was perfect. Could it had been better? Maybe... how much? I don't know... maybe different color options? Bathroom, bedrooms and lining areas appeared clean. Lava stone grill: is a MUST when open. My entire family loved it and it really isn't talked up. You cook your own meat on a burning hot stone... great time. Cons: this kinda is the hotels fault... they need to do a better job at monitoring pool areas. Kids roam around without parents watching and honestly it's a safety hazard. Many vacationers are just plain dirty and disrespectful of property. I saw countless families from different cultures just litter like it's no ones business. I mean have respect for others... they wouldn't do it at home... why do it there? I wish they had cameras video taping it and then show it as proof. 2 important points: service and transportation - other reviews said they were bad. Service - my opinion is that if you are clear, upfront and smile... it is contagious. Try it. My service from check in to check out was exactly what I expected. Transportation - take uber v. Taxi or shuttles. Hope this helps!

This is a two or three star resort. If you're accustomed to the Ritz or Four Seasons, this is not it. The property is very dated all around. There's nothing especially luxury about it. I could have lived with that. But after booking a package that included $100 per day for food, upon check out they informed us that excluded room service. "Room service not included" was not even in the fine print. What was in the fine print was the name of the various restaurants and the word "only" wasn't there either. So I was expected to extrapolate that if restaurant names were listed, room service was excluded. And they simply didn't budge after much back and forth. It's not about the money. $200 isn't going to change my life. It's the way it was all done and handled. Ritz or Four Seasons would never do that. Pricey yes, but full disclosure. And if they realized it was misleading, they would make good on it. Which is why I trust them and will return many times. And why I'll never return to this place.

This was our 4th stay at a Trump resort in Miami; twice in Doral, twice here at the Sunny Isles beach resort. They've lost our business after this largely unimpressive Easter getaway. The Room: 1704 was close to Collins Avenue and had just a sliver of ocean view. There was street noise...we far preferred the room we had last year directly overlooking the ocean. Lighting in the bathroom was inadequate and the mirror fogged completely over regardless of the exhaust fan being on. There was no where to hang wet suits either in the bathroom or on the balcony, and the air conditioning was difficult to get just right, many times being either freezing cold or stagnant and hot. Housekeeping was on point by day but inconsistent and sporadic with turn down service in the evenings. Only 4 elevators servicing the entire building is inadequate and caused a lot of frustration waiting to get up and down throughout our stay.. Check in/out: We were glad to be given our room keys upon arrival around lunchtime. Check out on the back end was disappointing though; we had hoped our loyalty would be rewarded since the resort had cleared out after Easter but we were told we could only have the room until 1PM without an additional charge. At noon our key cards deactivated anyway which forced us up off the beach much earlier than we had planned. There are no locker room/shower facilities so without your room it's difficult to transition from the beach/pool to traveling home. Customer Service: One of the days the umbrellas weren't put up at the beach or by the pool due to wind concerns. We pointed out to the manager on duty, Ivanna, that there should be other shade solutions such as canopies if they're so concerned about industrial grade umbrellas flying away. Baking out in the sun all day we were red and irritated and by way of some concession she removed the resort fee for the day. The loungers are all beat up, the white towels are flimsy and only cover half the chair and providing adequate shade is an absolute must for a beach resort. Beach/pool areas: The shoreline is covered in piles of rotting seaweed that should be raked up and discarded cups and service items litter the beach area. The lap pool is treated as another place to lounge and play so anyone who wants to use it for its intended purpose must get up at the crack of dawn to do so before the masses descend. Our son is a competitive swimmer and didn't get to enjoy his vacation fully having to get outside early to workout. The wrist bands were new this year and a good idea in theory but people shouldn't have to wait in line for the color of the day but rather get one band for the duration of their stay that is put on at check in and cut off at check out. This resort is falling into disrepair. Besides the beat up beach loungers, when you first pull up, even one of the numbers of the 18001 Collins Avenue address out front by the big globe was missing, having fallen off. Overall disappointed to see the Trump brand isn't what it used to be.

It is a bit pricey but was really impressed by the lay out of the hotel. The beach and pool area were the best thing for me. Room and view was good and gym was awesome. So much is included in this hotel. Only downfall is the price of food. It's better to search around the area for better and less expensive.
