I am truly disappointed with the Trump International Hotel. Everything was wrong or deficient from the start, from the moment I arrived at the hotel where a valet parking attendant charged me the exorbitant sum of $60 a night to store my car, to the check-in at reception where the staff were not as friendly and courteous as they should have been. They didn't explain the hotel's rules or what amenities were available for our enjoyment, both inside the hotel and in the room. They didn't even tell me where the pool or any other included services were located. There was no explanation of beach access, among other things. In short, they didn't explain anything and didn't even provide a written document explaining all these important matters for the guest. The hotel also lacks a restaurant for dinner, and they don't explain or mention anything about the rules for something as simple as the minibar in the room. Often, what's placed there is a welcome gift from the hotel, but in other hotels, they even charge for that. The worst part is that no one informs you that if you consume anything, you have to pay. They don't even provide a document warning you or a menu with a price list so you can make an informed decision about whether or not to use it. In short, my experience at the Trump International Hotel was a complete disaster. Of course, I won't be returning, nor would I recommend it to anyone.

The valet service at this hotel is fantastic, everybody is very friendly, even when they're very busy they do a great job, it's nice to go to a hotel with a valet is on top

Room was clean, great view. Service was awesome, above and beyond expectations. Plenty of activities, swimming pools were amazing, and we had direct access to the beach. Great customer service all around!

Not enough characters to say it all. We haven’t even been here 24 hours. First surprise was that there is no self parking and valet is $60 per day. Next, our room was not only run down, but our balcony had a window into the room next to us, where we could see a guy in his bed (thankfully without a partner). The balcony door would not lock. We called about it, but no one responded, so hubby had to go down to the lobby. We were given a new (still run down) room, in which the thermostat did not work and there was no working light in the closet. Maintenance came and replaced the battery in the thermostat, which worked for 10 minutes. After that, it returned to, I guess, default, which was 65. We froze all night. We had arrived late because of a delayed flight, so it was midnight at this point and we just dealt with it. Unfortunately, we were awakened at 8:00 am with a loud, constant loud ‘whap, whap, whap,” that turned out to be ropes slapping against the outside of the building due to window-washer style scaffolding for renovations. We were not informed in any way that construction was going on prior to booking. As we had an appointment later that morning, we called valet for our rental car and stopped at the front desk to tell them about the thermostat, light, and noise. We indicated that we were considering leaving and going to a different hotel; they offered to take $300 off of our $2500 stay (5 days). In the meantime, the valet service called to say they couldn’t find our car. Again, we had an appointment to get to. It took two calls with valet to finally get our car. While waiting, we told the front desk that we would discuss our options when we returned from our appointment. When we returned, the new staff at the front knew nothing about our issues, so we went through it again. They said they would find us an alternative and call us. So, while we waited, we went back to room #2 and found that the closet light had been fixed, but that the thermostat was still not working. Around 2-3 hours later, we finally heard back from the front desk that they had a 3rd room available for us to check out. While waiting to hear back from the front desk, we had gone downstairs to check out the pools and beach. Note: the buildings shade the pools and beach by late afternoon and the poolside bar closes (maybe at 4:00?). We tried to go down to the next level to get to the beach and the beach-side bar, but there was no clear signage as to how to get there. We grabbed 2 pool towels from an unattended kiosk and headed back into the hotel to go down a level, only to be accosted by a rude attendant as we were entering the hotel, saying “those are not allowed at the beach.” Again, there was no signage, nor personnel to indicate otherwise. When we finally found our way to the beach level (sans towels), we did find the beachside bar. I will say our bartender was very friendly. By this time, there was zero sun on the beach. About an hour later, we finally heard from the front desk and we moved to room #3. By that time, it was 9:00 pm and too late (and in too bad of a mood) to go out to dinner, so we got Burger King from across the street and are about to go to bed. Days 1 and 2 ruined. We only stayed because of the hassle of finding a different hotel and having to move all our stuff to an entirely separate location. We booked Trump Intl. because it was the number 2 rated hotel in Sunny Isles on Trip Advisor, plus we trusted that the Trump brand would be high quality, particularly given the cost. We have given up our annual vacation to a crappy accommodation and we are now both in crappy moods. We do NOT recommend. Very disappointed and dissatisfied. We aren’t rich, so this was supposed to be a luxury, once-in-a-blue on experience for us. NOT.

Of all resorts Trump Resort is the cream of the crop. I felt like a queen with the treatment. Service was great, the bell hops were great, the employees were great, and the beach was always clean. Drinks were delivered on the beach and our glasses never got empty. This will be the only place I stay when I'm in Florida.
