This hotel is absolutely gorgeous and the staff are incredibly accommodating in every way. Check in is very smooth. Note that there is a $550 charge held on your credit card until check out.. For us, this was credited back the day after we left so no concerns there. If you choose to go All Inclusive, which we did and felt it was a great value, you are given a shell bracelet after your hand massage so that everyone knows and can help you order accordingly. Almost everything was included and discounts were applied for anything that isn't included. You are helped with your bags by Geraldo, Raul, Omar, or Andres. All of them seemed eager to help and also helped arrange taxis for us and helped us understand the peso/dollar exchange for the trips. Astrid and Jennifer helped us line up our excursion and were also super sweet and very helpful. You are offered a chance to take a tour of the facility in order to learn about the purchase options. You are given breakfast and a 90 minute presentation. If you choose to take the tour, you're given discounts on excursions if you are booking at least 3 and reduced costs on spa packages. We chose not to take the tour as we knew we would only be doing one excursion (The Vallarta Adventures Outdoor Tour - a whole other crazy review to read but definitely a must do!). The food at La Casona is incredible! Javier, the GM, is quick to learn his guests names and will call you by name each time he sees you. Eduardo, Roger, Miguel and Bernardo also took great care of us. Not to embarrass him, but if by chance you are given the pleasure of hearing Eduardo sing, that is like the cherry on top of the experience. He is very genuine and we consider him our friend. Make sure to order the Mexican coffee and ask Roger to make it! The show is incredible and tastes even better. (We did pay a little more for that one as it is not part of the AI but was well worth it. Roger is also very knowledgeable about the menu and gracious to let you have whatever you want in whatever order you want to eat it in! Try everything! And enjoy your breakfast here on the patio with Enzo! Cinthia was our hostess and she made sure to remember our names and our seating preferences the entire time. The resort is not huge and is very easy to get around in. We stayed in the center building (#2) which is where the lobby and main restaurant are. We would for certain stay in this one again. All rooms, however, have an ocean view which is really special. So wherever you stay, the view is gorgeous and close enough to hear the waves from your balcony. Alan took care of us the most while at the pool. He was eager to be available. The drinks were great and not watered down. Beers are served in mini metal buckets filled with ice so they stayed cold. Cesar is also down at the pool to make sure you have all the towels and umbrellas you need to stay comfortable. One day, my husband was asked if he wanted more sun or shade that day. He responded that he wanted shade so umbrellas stayed around him and were adjusted as the sun shifted. Great service! One thing to note that we didn't understand at check in. You will still sign for all the items you eat/drink even with the AI package. This is done so you can correctly tip for your service but we were confused by this at the beginning. If you tip on the receipt instead of with cash, this will be on your check out bill and will be a separate charge from the hold. You have privileges at the neighboring resort but we only ate there once. We ate at the Italian restaurant and while everything was delicious, it just wasn't quite as good as La Casona. Also note that while you can eat at the Villa del Palmar, your AI packages will not include drinks on that side but this was clearly explained at check in. Shopping can be done at the local flea market in Buceria which was a $6 taxi ride each way, regardless of how many people you have. Taxis are also very easy to get coming back and we never had discrepancies in the charge. Again, the staff in the lobby will help you understand all of this and will line up the transportation to get there. Overall, it was perfect! We would love to go back and we miss it already. Thank you to all of the staff at Villa la Estancia! You gave us a fabulous vacation!

My family and I have stayed here for 3 years in a row. Graet Service, areas and rooms. The amenities are better every day. The food at La Casona is just to die for, The best part of the whole experience is the personalized service provided for people like Esteban, Gaby, Raul, and most of then!!! I would definetly recomended it to you.

We booked this trip for our anniversary. We are so glad we did, it was amazing. The Estancia made us feel very special and taken care of. The entire staff is amazing and have amazing attention to detail. The room was very clean and well kept, the pool was amazing, the facilities were top notch. The food was truly amazing the entire week we stayed there. Nothing at all bad to say. Raul and Jennifer in the front lobby were very pleanant and helpful. Alan at the pool bar was amazing, the best ever! So friendly and personable, giving us special attention. Oscar, the pool concierge, was awesome. He knew and remembered us, was very funny and personable, gave us great local advice, and always set us up very well at the pool or beach. He was great, and definitely went the extra mile for service. We experienced the spa for massages, which was a very relaxing and wonderful experience from start to finish. We enjoyed the included activities included, especially the Mexican independence day celebration, that was truly great! We rented the included boogie boards at the beach, which qas a lot of fun. Maby at the front lobby concierge set us up with a few really fun local excursions. Overall, this was an amazing trip, we are so glad we came here!

This is a nice condo property along with its sister property next door at the very Northern point of Nuevo Vallarta. We stayed in a two bedroom suite, however the second bedroom is standalone and you have to cross either the external entryway or balcony to access the living/dinning area of the other bedroom unit. Wifi is only accessible in pool area and main lobby... or if you are on balcony. Nice pools and you are literally right on the beach! Now the cons... Service was notably absent! Maid service 2 out of seven days? Requests to repair broken microwave ignored repeatedly for 3 days. No laundry detergent, or dish washing soap in unit! Other guests we talked to had similar issues so does not appear to be isolated.
